The presented device is one of the few surviving emergency telephones on the factory premises, which used to be on the equipment of every industrial facility. The massive telephone, weighing over 20 kg, was manufactured after World War II as a miner's telephone at the Zakłady Wytwórcze Urządzeń Sygnalizacyjnych (ZWUS) in Katowice-Wełnowiec. Originally, this type of telephone was intended for communication in methane mines and in rooms with a high risk of explosion. Its cast-iron construction, which is resistant to mechanical damage.

The presented telephone set in a wooden housing was designed to be mounted on the wall. It was equipped with an ebonite microphone attached to the front of the housing and a trumpet-shaped earpiece rigidly attached to the forks on the left side of the housing. On the side, the device has two clamps for the wires carrying the telephone signal.

This antique phone was created as a practice piece for realistic texturing. The model is based on the classic L.M. Ericsson Skeletal Desk Telephone, also known as the "Eiffel Tower" phone. I aimed to create the feeling of an old phone that is rarely dusted. Every element, from the metal details to the ringing mechanism, is meticulously crafted to emphasize the authenticity and elegance of this vintage telephone.

this project focuses on creating a clean and optimized model with efficient UV mapping and basic PBR texturing. the asset contains approximately 3.8k triangles, making it suitable for real-time applications.

all textures are optimized to maintain a stylized look while keeping performance in mind.

workflow: modeled in Blender, followed by UV unwrapping and PBR texturing. the cable was created using a curve-based approach and adjusted to achieve a natural shape.

and this model is created for my personal practice project to improve modeling and texturing workflow.
