The corset is made of French broached silk with Rococo floral patterns. It is lined with homespun canvas. It is made of three pieces: one at the back and two at the front. Six large inserts were sewn at the bottom, and metal rings along the cut, through which the ribbon used for tying was threaded. The corset was purchased in Dzianisz between 1887 and 1893 by Maria and Bronisław Dembowski, collectors of Podhale folk art, and in 1922 it was donated to the collection of the Tatra Museum under the provisions of Maria’s will.
It is one of the oldest well-preserved corsets from the Podhale region and the proof of direct or indirect cultural contacts stretching outside the region. It is patterned after the 18th-century bourgeois clothes.

Corset

The presented object is a trzos belt – a wide leather belt with a pocket for storing money and documents. It was made in the 2nd half of the 20th century by a Romani saddler near the Romanian city of Brasov (Braşov in Romanian).
The belt was made of a double-folded strip of leather; at the upper edge there is an additional narrow pleat. It is fastened with 4 metal buckles, through which short straps with punched leather eyelets are threaded (5 in each strap). The end of each strap can be additionally fixed by threading it through a belt loop in a vertical leather belt (7 cm wide) attached to the trzos belt with 3 pairs of brass rivets.

The front folds down to form the baseboard with side struts that clamp to hold the back and baseboard rigid. The lens board is mounted on a brass frame on rails built into the baseboard which is clamped in position by a threaded bar.

Mechanical Mounting Bracket with Threaded Hole

Just in time for Easter, a collection of large 4" tall threaded easter eggs for your egg hunt or for decorations. I intended these for an arts and crafts project for my daughter and printed them in white so that they could be colored with markers (which my daughter generously demonstrated in the pictures), but you can print them in any color you choose including for a golden egg as the grand prize. There are three fun varities, plain, striped with happy easter, and polka dots. The patterns are inlaid to help guide the marker tips or you can print plain eggs for free form. They are big enough to put small toys inside and can be scaled up. Be sure to carefully clean support material from the threads for best results. I printed these on a Neptune 3 Plus with raft and support material.
