Journey is an indie adventure game

In Journey, the player controls a robed figure in a vast desert, traveling towards a mountain in the distance. Other players on the same journey can be discovered, and two players can meet and assist each other, but they cannot communicate via speech or text and cannot see each other's names until after the game's credits. The only form of communication between the two is a musical chime, which transforms dull pieces of cloth found throughout the levels into vibrant red, affecting the game world and allowing the player to progress through the levels. The developers sought to evoke in the player a sense of smallness and wonder and to forge an emotional connection between them and the anonymous players they meet along the way.

Pirene or Peirene is the name of a fountain or spring in Greek mythology, physically located in Corinth. It was said to be a favored watering-hole of Pegasus, sacred to the Muses. Poets would travel there to drink and receive inspiration.

In the 2nd century CE the traveler Pausanias describes Pirene as follows:

On leaving the market-place along the road to Lechaeum you come to a gateway, on which are two gilded chariots, one carrying Phaethon the son of Helius, the other Helius himself. A little farther away from the gateway, on the right as you go in, is a bronze Heracles.

Inspired by a best 1967 Taiwanese film, "Dragon Gate Inn". The whole plot is a variant of "a guy walks into a bar". As a sandstorm threatens and drives most travellers away, a few groups driven by different agendas are determined to stay in the desert at the famous Dragons Gate Inn. Amidst rumors of an ancient city and with Zhao Huai'an and the leader of the West Bureau approaching, events are about to unfold with the Dragons Gate Inn as the stage for an all out clash.

That is what the Swedish explorer Sven Hedin called [Wan fa Gui yi Hall in the Putuo Zongcheng Temple, Chengde](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Putuo_Zongcheng_Temple). In 1929, Hedin travelled to China with the mission to procure a Lamaistic temple to the World Exhibition in Chicago in 1933. An exact model was manufactured at the architect W. H. Liang's workshops in 1932 in Beijing. Two smaller models in scale 1:10 were also made. One of them was sent to Chicago as well. The other was taken to the Ethnographic Museum in Stockholm. *Strix varia*, or the barred owl, can be commonly found in dense forests and wooded swamps in southwestern Canada, Washington, Oregon and northern California. The barred owl is, on average 48-51 cm tall, and has a rounded-head with grey-white facial disc. Where many owls have ear tufts, the barred owl does not.

The small serrations on an owl’s primary feathers creates small vortices reducing noise from wind drag to near zero. The silent flight of owls inspired the biomimetic solution to wind noise caused by the Shinkansen Bullet Train as it travels near 350km/h. These serrations also inspired the redesign of  Ziehl-Abegg, Inc’s fan blades, reducing noise and improving energy efficiency.
