The road which connects Fukushima city, Fukushima prefecture to Yonezawa city, Yamagata prefecture was opened in 1881(明治14年) and named after “Banseitairo  Road” by the Emperor Meiji.Futatsugoya Tunnel is one of the two tunnels which are located in Banseitairo  Road. It was taken expansion work to motor vehicles can go through in 1934(昭和9年). In 1966(昭和41年), an another tunnel was opened at new place to they can go through if it has heavy snow and Banseitairo Road became the “Abandoned road” after finished its role.

Futatsugoya Tunnel “Abandoned road” japan

This is a photogrammetry of the remains of the Kannonzaki Battery No. 3 in Yokosuka City, Japan.
The site of a gun battery and the brick tunnel remain in Kannonzaki Park.
Two howitzers were installed in the mortar-shaped turret.

I attached a 20mm prime lens and a clip-on flash to a Sony A1 on a tripod and took 650 photos. The photos were taken on a lightly cloudy day, and the tunnel lighting and de-lighting the outside of the tunnel was done using flash light.

The model was modeled with a wind tunnel, (which is used to study aerodynamics) the whole was inspired by a photo taken by Lamborghini, in the studio.

Render Scene for Blender

The Betsey Trotwood pub on the corner of Farringdon Road and Farringdon Lane, London.

The pub is named after the character from David Copperfield by Charles Dickens. Betsey is David's Great Aunt and present at his birth.

The pub is particular interesting as it sits directly over the 'cut and cover' tunnel of the Metropolitan London Undeground line as well as (partly over) the lower tunnel of the Thameslink railway.

F1 Mercedes W13 concept design, based on Formula 1's upcoming 2022 regulations. In 2022 F1 will dramatically change the cars aerodynamically in order to allow drivers to get closer and race harder. The use of venturi tunnels along the floor of the car will see the return of the 1970's innovation known as ground effect, producing a huge amount downforce and reducing the need for complicated overbody aerodynamic surfaces which hinder the airflow for cars behind.

Optimised with less than 100k faces. High resolution 4k PBR textures, procedural carbon and metal materials. Includes textures for soft, medium and hard tyre compounds, also 3 F1 themed HDRIs and backplates created with Codemaster's F1 2020.

F1 Mercedes W13 Concept

One day during my MRT commute, the tunnel lights were switched on. This is my rendition of the view I had that evening. That was like last month, real life be  kicking my butt really hard.

Animation is achieved by rotating a curved array of tunnel segments around a point (Inspired by some other entries I had found previously).

Modelled in Blender and textured in Substance Painter. Free to download but its really nothing fancy :)

I was on the subway one day like any other returning from the Graphic design course. I saw the tunnel lights from the train windows and immediately thought of drawing a rough draft. Returning home I thought about doing the draft on Blender. I liked the fact that the single section was very particular so I decided to isolate it. Thus was born the idea of creating a collection that would represent various types of sections of the metro.

Subway Car

A rough photogrammetry capture of the road bridge called Holborn Viaduct over Farringdon Street, London with stairwells in each corner. Model cross-sectioned just above the height of the bridge.

Some of the the gates under the bridge are access points to the cable and sewer tunnels under this part of London. Under Farringdon Street is the River Fleet, the valley of which created the need for the bridge itself.
