La matriz mitocondrial contiene iones, metabolitos a oxidar, ADN circular, ARN mitocondrial, ribosomas que sintetizan proteínas mitocondriales, el complejo enzimático ATP-sintasa F0F1 responsable de la síntesis de ATP.

The shield-shaped ring plate is crossed in the middle by a shield-shaped field that rotates from the axis of the ring plate. The field is embellished with a heraldic lion and circumscribed by an inscription that is presumed to read 'O-I-V'. The solid ring band has a semicircular, faceted profile cross-section and is slightly wider towards the ring shoulder. It is decorated with two solid, highly detailed animal heads, which end in offset, longitudinally engraved rods on the narrow side of the ring plate.

This object was digitized through the ‘Kulturerbe digital’ program of the Federal Ministry for Arts, Culture, Public Service and Sport.

Ring with a rotating middle part

Basalt scraper or bark stripper with a smooth, cylindrical handle. At the proximal end, the tool exhibits a series of parallel, longitudinal grooves or striations on three of its sides.

Culiseta longiareolata és una de les espècies de culícids més comunes a Catalunya i a tota la conca mediterrània. Tot i que sovint es confon amb el mosquit tigre per la seva mida i algunes taques, té característiques molt diferents.
No pica als humans (normalment): A diferència d'altres mosquits, aquesta espècie té una marcada preferència per la sang d'ocells. És molt rar que piquin les persones; per tant, no es considera una molèstia urbana rellevant ni un vector important de malalties per a nosaltres segons dades del Servei de Control de Mosquits.

Culiseta longiareolata

A wooden face belonging to an anthropoid coffin lid, which is prepared with a thin layer of painted gesso as a ground for its polychrome decoration. The skin tone is rendered in a light brown pigment, with the eyes and eyebrows defined in bold black lines. Adorning the forehead is a decorative fillet (headband) painted in alternating patterns of green and red. The upper portion of the head features a series of parallel green stripes, representing a specific style of wig or headdress. The object contains four circular holes intended for wooden dowels to secure the face to the main coffin lid. There is noticeable wear and loss of gesso on the cheeks and nose, exposing the underlying timber core. This object dates to the Third Intermediate Period (c. 1069–715 BC).

This sculpture captures Salmacis the fabled water nymph of Greek mythology in a moment of languid grace. Seated and partially draped she appears both alluring and contemplative evoking the myth in which she fuses with the youth Hermaphroditus. Her pose gently twisting at the waist and grasping her own ankle suggests fluidity and sensual restraint embodying the very essence of water and desire. Her downward gaze and delicate expression reflect a dreamlike longing a visual echo of the myth s intimate transformation.

Cylindrical stamp o seal with carved and incised decoration. Its surface features three decorative bands: a central band with stepped fret motifs, framed by two bands with triangles. The ends are carved, one divided into six sections and the other into four. A longitudinal perforation runs through the center, allowing it to be rolled using a small stick.

Stamos or Seals

Zoomorphic whistle depicting a crouching figure, with the legs spread to either side and the hands resting on the abdomen. The face resembles that of a monkey, wearing a helmet in the form of a bird’s head. The body is oval, with a longitudinal molding along the center, imitating the shape of a cacao pod or a gourd. Two short wings, or possibly foliage elements, emerge from behind the shoulders. The figure wears a necklace with vertical incisions. The blowing mouthpiece is located at the tail, and the tone holes are placed at the base of the nape. Possibly originating from the Alta Verapaz region. The object was made using a mold, with details finished by hand.

Lance of Longinus

Pectoral worked in greenstone, with a polished surface and a slight triangular shape. The relief decoration shows the image of a male figure (noble or deity) in right profile with open eyes, aquiline nose, open mouth, left arm flexed over the chest, and right arm raised. The figure wears a feather headdress, round ear ornaments, a necklace with spherical beads, and a hip cloth with a belt. The pectoral has a longitudinal biconical hole, while on the sides there are seven biconical holes and two round holes.

Gold Ring

British army military barracks,Summerhill, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary. 19th-century upright boundary stone No 4 now built into doorway of a house on the north side of the entrance to the barracks. Stone marked the front boundary of the property belonging to the military barracks. B ↑ O which stands for Board of Ordnance. The broad arrow pointing upwards carved between the B O of which the pheon is a variant, is a stylised representation of a metal arrowhead, comprising a tang and two barbs meeting at a point. It is a symbol used traditionally in heraldry, most notably in England, and later by the British government to mark government property. Erected before 1855 when the Board of Ordnance was disbanded and replaced by the War Department. The stone had an earlier number beneath the No. 4 which has been removed and a line put through it, beneath this there are the letters 0 ft. Front. The Board of Ordnance were the custodian of the lands, depots and forts required for the defence of Britain and Ireland.
