Description
π Moon Far Side
This 3D model represents a section of the Moonβs far side, the hemisphere that never faces Earth.
The terrain is based on real elevation data provided by NASA and covers an area approximately 400 km across. The scale is significantly reduced, and vertical features may be slightly exaggerated to improve visibility of surface details.
Unlike the near side, the far side is heavily cratered and lacks large smooth plains. This is because it did not experience the same level of volcanic resurfacing, so most impact craters remain preserved.
This model shows a rough, uneven landscape shaped primarily by impacts over billions of years. It is a localized terrain section intended for visualization and 3D printing, not a full Moon representation. Fine details are limited by resolution and scaling.
