Traditional house from Chiojdu Mic, reconstructed in 1936 at the National Village Museum “Dimitrie Gusti” after an early‑19th‑century model from the Subcarpathian area of Buzău. The dwelling reflects the vernacular architecture of northeastern Muntenia, with a longitudinal plan, a semi‑buried ground floor used for storage and an upper level for living. Its stone foundation, timber walls, tall shingled roof, and the characteristic porch with a small pavilion express the balanced proportions and craftsmanship of the regional style. Now preserved in Bucharest, the house illustrates the adaptation of rural architecture to terrain, climate, and traditional ways of life.
