St Canice's Cathedral: short cross slab
License & Attribution
Description
A short cross slab in the north aisle of St Canice's Cathedral which depicts a four-armed cross with fleur-de-lis terminals on a three-stepped mount. The material is the fossiliferous limestone Kilkenny is famous for. It probably dates to the 13th or 14 century, but unfortunately bears no inscription. It is a quite short floor slab, so was possibly made for a child.
Made in KiriEngine from 87 images.
