L/A Merisilta is one of two ferries operating between Oulunsalo and Hailuoto in the northwestern Finland. She has been operating on the route for almost 40 years, starting from 1987 and ending in 2026 when the Hailuoto causeway will replace ferry traffic. Measurements: length: 63.2 m, breadth: 12.3 m, draught: 3.6 m, capacity: approx. 55 cars. I went with the detailing and color scheme of the ferry in the mid-2010s, since I think the current appearance isn't as visually interesting. Model based on photomatching, not blueprints. Modeling done in Sketchup and then moved into Blender at the last minute, so have fun cleaning up the probably incredible topology and whatnot. Sorry :)
