Description

A Rhodian stamped amphora handle found at Beit Jabrin, Palestine, dating to c 150-100 BC. This handle depicts the head of Helios, the sun god, in a circle surrounded by the name of the eponym and the month of office: EIII ANΔPON[IKON] [AΓP]IANOY (In the term of Andron[icos], in the month of [Agr]ianos’). A secondary stamp on the side of the handle in the form of a small square containing the letter A. Photos were taken with a Nikon Z5 with a 24-50mm lens. The model was constructed on Reality Scan using 157 images. Captured January 2026.
