## Scanning Since there is no reason in making a scan more challenging than necessary I used scan spray on the PCB to create an even surface finish and color. The auto turntable mode benefits quite a lot from scan spray whereas in the normal laser mode it is not necessary most of the time (except very shiny and reflective or transparent parts). ## Post-Processing I used 0.1mm for fusion and manually aligned the top and bottom scan by picking points (simply too few overlap for automatic alignment). Meshing was done at 0.1mm and alignment to the coordinate system using Quicksurface. Original scan had roughly 5M triangles, I reduced it to 2M without any noticeable drop in detail (per Quicksurface 100% of the points were within 0.003mm after reducing the triangle count).
