This rock sample hosts many fossil leaves preserved as impressions, mainly from a type of willow (*Salix grandifolia*). The rock itself consists of a porous, crystalline limestone called tufa. This object is part of the historical ‘Ettingshausen collection’, which is on permanent loan from the Institute of Biology, University of Graz.
