Miniature zoomorphic effigy vessel in brown ware, in the form of a bird, possibly a dove or a pheasant, shown in a resting posture. The body is globular, with a small mouth at the top of the vessel; the neck is broken and modified. The bird’s head projects from the vessel wall, raised on its neck, with a closed beak and round eyes. The large wings on either side are rendered through incised decoration and stepped designs, suggesting feathers.
