Description
An inscription in the 'Camunian' or 'Sondrio' alphabet, an alpine variant of a northern Etruscan alphabet. The inscription should be read from right to left - transcribed 'ZAZIAU.' This shows the typical tree-shaped 'Z' sign and the flipped 'A' sign. The introduction of writing in Valcamonica can be placed around the fifth century BC.
