Miniature theater-type incense burner lid in the Teotihuacan style. At the center is the face of a figure, probably a warrior, decorated with a stylized butterfly nose ornament and circular earflares. With his hands, he appears to hold two banners that form part of the lateral framing elements. The upper frame of the lid is composed of a feathered headdress decorated with five discs arranged in a staggered pattern, while the lower frame consists of a horizontal band, or mantle, featuring a central medallion. NAA of the ceramic paste indicates the Pacific Coast of Guatemala as its origin or place of manufacture; examples of this style are generally found in the region of Tiquisate and La Gomera, Escuintla.
