Effigy vessel with lid in the form of a elderly figure. The vessel corresponds to the waist and lower limbs, and the lid forms the upper part of the body. The figure appears to carry on its back an effigy vessel with a human figure, possibly intended as a container for beverage. The figure’s face shows wrinkles, a slightly open mouth revealing few teeth, and a short beard. The arms are slightly flexed and directed forward, as if holding an object with the hands, which have perforations that may have served this purpose. The figure wears a diadem with what appears to be a fan of feathers; flower-shaped earspools; a necklace of beads and a shell pectoral; and a maxtlatl, whose cloth falls down the front to the feet and is decorated with a trophy head.
