Giant's Causeway

Mount Clare is a five-part Georgian Palladian plantation house located at Carroll Park in Baltimore. It was built in 1754 and is the oldest standing structure in the city. Currently, the house operates as a museum and is undergoing reinterpretation by a [commission appointed in 2021](https://www.baltmccpc.com/) to study the enslaved, indentured and imprisoned laborers who lived and worked at Mount Clare and a nearby ironworks.

A 3D version of a tree designed by Steven Sugar (@Stesug). The bushes of leaves on top resemble clouds and help connect the ground wildlife to the warm coloured canopy on top. Small idicators of materials is what helps to sell this piece, with a leaf or two nessled in there you can beleive that the rest of it is covered in autumn themed foliage.

An inscribed oracle bone (jia gu 甲骨) from the Couling-Chalfant collection at the British Library.


Oracle bones were animal bones, usually ox shoulder bones or the underside of turtle shells, used for divination rituals in ancient China. Dating to the Shang dynasty (c. 1600 – 1050 BC), they bear the earliest extant form of Chinese writing and are the oldest items held in the British Library.


The inscription on the reverse of this particular bone records a lunar eclipse, which can be precisely dated to the night of 27 December 1192 BC.

This model was created for a British Library project on oracle bones that formed part of the UK-China Cultural Exchange 2015, supported by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport.

A 3D scene interpretation of a 2D illustration by Tom Haugomat. This was made as part of my honours project for university last year and now can be viewed in 3D.

A lone man walking through a tunnel as he approaches the train heading his way. Will he move out of the way, or is this intentional?
Either way, the colours contrast perfectly with cold interior of the tunnel versus the warm glow of the outside. A orange glow combined with harsh shadows define the shapes and features that bring this space to life.

The clouds suffered a bit when on Sketchfab but the original in app sketch has the accurate version here: *Artstation link*. I liked this one because of the feeling again of strong light sources making the shadows of the characters stand out. The colour combination in the clouds blend together well and create the evening gradient often found during the twilight hours of the day. The dark outer space in the sky almost create a deep unknown effect like looking into the deep ocean.

Sunset

A glowing tree painted in VR using AnimVR.

The bushes that make up the leaves on the tree are clumped together in a very compact way, meaning one small move and the leaves come falling down. The glow of the dents in the tree progress from top to bottom and show the progression from light to dark. A moment frozen in time to show the beauty some aspects of nature can bring, even if its a swirling tree.

Red Dragon in the Clouds

Concept from a 2D illustration that I painted in VR for my Honours project at university. Original by a Japanese artist I cannot track down. This was my first attempt at designing scenes and painting them in VR.

The harsh light from the sun above creates the drastic shadows and contrast of colours. Super dark blues for the shadows that give off an extreme version of the cold shadow havens from the beaming sunlight that will most likely burn anyone who gets exposed to it.
