In ancient Greek mythology Ethiopian princess Andromeda was bound to a rock amid the waves of the Red sea. Why? Her mother, Cassiopeia boasted that Andromeda is far more beautifull then all the nymphs of the sea! This angered the god Poseidon who sent a monster creature, Cetus (Ketos) to torment people of ancient Ethiopia. The princess was to be eaten by a sea moster to soothe the anger of the god! In the very last moment a hero - Perseus flew (on Hermes winged sandals) and saved the princess from the vile beast.

When researching Andromeda, I could only find white, pale damsels in distress. Angered by this I wanted to depict Andromeda as a true African princess. I disliked the concept of a helpless damsel and decided to give her some character. I also wanted to portray Ketos as a bewildered sea dragon not an angry whale.

The camera is in a very particular spot so you can gaze up and look all around at our magnificent galactic neighborhood as our mother-ship planet tumbles through space and time, unfortunately I was not able to lock the camera in such a way that did not avoid clipping through the ground when looking up, so please don't zoom or pan the camera away from the position it is in, of course I encourage you all to rotate/look around with the camera though.

Starry Night

The Primitive Orbital Station is a Kerbal parody of the historical Soviet Almaz and Salyut space station programs. Shown here is a "Cislunar" orbital complex acting as mothership for 2 mini landers and a micro shuttle supporting the Lunar (KSP: Munar) exploration program. 

The P.O.S. is constructed with parts from Level 1 Research Complex with modules launched using medium lift rockets under 140 tons (i.e., I am too cheap to upgrade the Research Facility with 902,000 funds in a KSP Career game). 

This station is built around a standard Habitation Module with two LK-0 mini-landers and one X-1A Micro Shuttle attached to facilitate orbital rescue or crew recovery during cislunar (KSP: cismunar) operations. Propulsion for the translunar (KSP: transmunar) injection phase of the mission is provided by the POS-2 Propulsion Module which is discarded on a collision course with the Moon (KSP: Mun). 

Note: The acronym for this space station is a pun on this being a very small and quite crappy orbital station!

3D scan of the family house, in which my grandmother grew up!

It is located in the middle of fields in the "[Côte des Légendes](https://goo.gl/BhWdrr)" area in Brittany in France, and initially served as a farmhouse, a barn and a stable: there is still a massive granite trough inside the main building, which purpose was to feed the animals.

Processed from 670 pictures on Pocophone F1, some of them acquired with a 4.5m telescopic glass-washing handle, used as a (tall) DIY monopod. I still had to manually correct and paint some of the higher parts of the model for it to display nicely, as well as carve into the windows to improve on realism. The normals (Matcap + Surface) are not baked from bump maps, but actual geometry.

Country House

This model was used in a rendered photo that I submitted to the 2018 (Edit: 2019) APS Metro show in Abuquerque as part of the "Digital Photography/Special Techniques" category. Unlike my CS:GO skins, this model was actually made by me. Made in Maya, and textured in substance painter, this NEC APC computer looks very nice in my opinion due to it's 4K screen and emissive map.  Weirdly enough I don't remember this project taking very long. The model and texturing probably only took 3 hours and was made during school. But I am typing this at 1:16AM so I dunno. Enjoy my model.

P.S. I included 2 STOS basic references for lolz as well as a motherlover one that didn't survive the resolution of one of the materials. Sad.

Edit: I don't know why, but this didn't make it in to the show. I honestly don't know why. Even if the picture sucked (it didn't) it should've made it in because of how few entries in the Computer Generated Art categories there were. Oh well. Enjoy my model.

Rembrandt van Rijn was born in 1606 in the city of Leiden in a small millers house, right inside the city walls. The house was lived in by his family, his aunt owned the adjacent part and the backyard house was lived in by his grandmother. He lived in this place until about 1631 when he moved to Amsterdam to further his aspirations.

The house is build in the late 16th century in a, then new, style that would be characteristic for most city buildings in the following age. The Golden Age period of the Dutch economy that sparked the barque in which Rembrandt, and other painters would flourish.

Even simple workers houses like these often had a lot of well thought out design elements. Large plain windows were hard to make, so windows were often constructed from glass-in-lead frames put in wooden cross frames.

I ususally name my trains after people that I love.  One of them is named “Ready Brek” which was my brother’s nickname from when he was a child. He tradically died taking his own life on 4th July 2010. No family should have endure this devastating loss. No mother or father should have to bury their child in these circumstances. The Motherland Calls (Russian: Родина-мать зовёт!, tr. Rodina-mat' zovyot!, lit. 'Homeland-Mother Is Calling!') is the compositional centre of the monument-ensemble "Heroes of the Battle of Stalingrad" on Mamayev Kurgan in Volgograd, Russia. It was designed by sculptor Yevgeny Vuchetich and structural engineer Nikolai Nikitin, and declared the tallest statue in the world in 1967. At 85 m (279 ft), it is the tallest statue in Europe, the tallest outside of Asia and the tallest statue (excluding pedestals) of a woman in the world.

In 1967, one of Europe’s largest monument complexes commemorating victims of Nazism was opened on the camp territory. The memorial creates a symbol of the border between life and death with a 100 metre-long concrete wall, on which is written  – “Beyond these gates the land groans”. There are also seven concrete sculptures: “Mother”, “The Unbroken”, “The humuliated”, “Protest”, “Red Front”, “Solidarity”,“The Oath”. For my 3D1 course in Howest DAE my final work was to create a diorama revolving around 'grandma's garden'. 

Here we have a grandmother located in Marceline, Missouri. She loves to stroll through the garden and tend to all the flowers. It's her own little secret garden. 
For company she is surrounded by her dog Luna, her many chickens and occasionally her grandchildren as well.
 
I have learned so much in the process of this project and can't wait to create more!

Raby Castle is a medieval castle located near Staindrop in County Durham, England, among 200 acres (810,000 m2) of deer park. It was built by John Neville, 3rd Baron Neville de Raby, between approximately 1367 and 1390. Cecily Neville, the mother of the Kings Edward IV and Richard III, was born here. After Charles Neville, 6th Earl of Westmorland, led the failed Rising of the North in favour of Mary, Queen of Scots in 1569 Raby Castle was taken into royal custody. Sir Henry Vane the Elder purchased Raby Castle in 1626 and neighbouring Barnard Castle from the Crown, and the Earls of Darlington and Dukes of Cleveland added a Gothic-style entrance hall and octagonal drawing room. This is a genetically modified big cat I would say. Although he is very young, he is able to do a few cool tricks and movements. All because of the AI controller on his head between the horns..) Humans developed this creature by modifying the DNA of an animal. This animal grows rapidly and eats well ;). Maybe I will make a fully grown version of it too. He doesn't look very much like his current mother because of the modification. The animal is developed specifically for circus and entertainment. Despite his look he is quite friendly to people and I hope he is going to live a good life.

Sculpted in Blender 2.81, retopology by ZRemesher (I think I should've worked on the retopo a little more).

Painted and textured in Substance painter. (I didn't paint the tree though)

Rigged in Blender 2.81.
