A LiDAR landscape of the key archaeological features around Stonehenge including Stonehenge itself, The Avenue, the Cursus and numerous barrow burial mounds. The 1 metre LiDAR is only partial at Stonehenge with many of the sites to the west not included in the current opendata coverage. This is a digital terrain model version which represents the bare ground surface only so prominent buildings, trees and even the stones of the Stonehenge circles are stripped off in this case. 

Created using 1 metre DTM LiDAR opendata provided by the Environment Agency. Built in QGIS using the QGIS2threeJS plugin.

Stonehenge LiDAR Archaeology Landscape

Castlerigg Stone Circle, in the English Lake District.
 
The Neolithic stone circle is thought to have been constructed in around 3000 BC, and is potentially one of the earliest in the country. 

The monument includes an oval enclosure of stones which contains a smaller enclosure and two barrows, and an outlying stone. 

The oval enclosure includes 38 large stones, some standing up to 3m high and some fallen, and 3 smaller stones; it encloses an area measuring approximately 32m north-south by 29m east-west. 

Castlerigg Stone Circle remains unencumbered by modern development, and is one of the finest examples of a large irregular stone circle in England.

This 3D model is a personal project depicting a low poly wheelbarrow and shovel, optimized for gaming environments. Key features include:

Low Poly Optimization: Each element has been meticulously modeled to maintain a low polygon count, ensuring optimal performance in gaming scenarios.

Normal Map Baking Process: The normal map baking technique has been applied to transfer details from a high-poly object to the low-poly geometry, enhancing visual representation without increasing polygonal overhead.

Trim Sheet for UV Optimization: The trim sheet methodology, incorporating UV overlays, has been employed to reduce the number of UV islands, resulting in a final texture with higher resolution.

Specific details include 674 triangles for the shovel and 5,394 triangles for the wheelbarrow.

A Cotswold-Severn long barrow near Uley Long Barrow (aka Hetty Peggler's Tump) in a spectactular setting with panoramic views overlooking Cheltenham and the estuary.

Nympsfield

A group of three tether stones used to tether horses drawing barges on the River Barrow. I won't give the exact location, in case anyone gets any ideas of enriching their own collection.
Similar, but smaller tethering stones can apparently be found in farmyards (if they survive). At least that is what the explanation panel said.

Goresbridge: Tether stones

The Priddy Circles are probably Neolithic ritual or ceremonial monuments similar to a henge but this interpretation is somewhat speculative due to the presence of external rather than internal ditches.
