Since march to April 3, 2022  366 villagers of Yahidne had been held captive by the russian invaders in the basement of the local school. There were almost 50 children and several infants among hostages. 11 prisoners died of suffocation and disease.

Farm in the village of Lukashivka, Chernihiv oblast, Ukraine. About 30 people worked here and more than 120 cows were kept. More than 1.5 tons of milk were produced daily. In mid-March 2022 the farm was hit by a dozen of russian rockets and grain storage got destroyed as well as half of cattle died. Ukrainian soldiers were hiding in a farm and nearby structures, few got wounded and 2 soldiers died. After the liberation of Lukashivka, the farm slowly continues its activity, but it still needs to be restored and cant produce as much dairy as before the war.

The private house where 69-year-old Grigory lived after USSR collapsed and he lost his job at the Chernihiv factory, where he worked as an engineer. He moved to the village of Skorinets to enjoy his retirement, growing wine and tobacco. After the russian invasion, Ukrainian soldiers held the village, slept and stored ammunition in his house. In mid-March 2022, a rocket hit Grigory's house, part of the ammunition exploded, 1 soldier died and 3 were injured.
