A collection of reprocessed scanned animal skulls ([other free assets here](https://skfb.ly/6yQSW)), initally designed to be used as as game props, particles or for optimized renderings. 

**BUT**:  the method I used for remeshing and texture baking was not adapted in this case, and many normal inversions for instance have happened. Moreover, as these assets were batch-processed, I neglected some parts of the material, hence some black zones on the scans... 

You can of course still use them for your projects, but know that the quality on those baked models is not that good! Plus 1024px is too few for those complex objects...

Each model is made of 2500 triangles, and 1024 pixels albedo and normal maps.

The original scans were first remeshed with [mmgs](http://mmgtools.org), and decimated, UV unwrapped and baked in blender. Normal maps are ready to use for Unreal Engine, don't forget to flip their green channel in Unity!

All the original scans come from the great collection of UVic Libraries - @uviclib .

I had an idea for a skeleton with some human hands around it to create an interesting composition and a unique vibe. I also wanted to practice rigging and animation making this one of my most complex models yet. 💀 In total, it took about a week to create this character, but I'm really excited about how it turned out. 🥰🥰

Angel

This model displays a multitude of rigged and textured hand meshes in various hand positions. All parts of the hand mesh are rigged, and therefore able to be animated. 

The rig can be utilised by moving into the 'pose mode', and rotating the desired armature bone. This rotation will correspond to the movement of the part of finger. 
As the fingers have bones attributed to the phalange (phalanx), this makes it very useful for both simple, and complex animations.

The individual hand models are quite high-poly, possesing 70,000 faces, though, as demonstarted on one of the hand models, can be transformed to a low poly model with 5,000 faces using the unsubdivide modifier to a scale of five.

The textures are fully procedural and made by nodes within blender.

More support, will correspondingly lead to more free models, so if this one is enjoyed, and ‘liked’, there will be more free ones to come.

* Bycicle (4k x 4)- may be used as a background asset (a bit clunky geometry. Was reusing geometry from my old beginner's project)
* Bench, lantern, bin, package, tree (varies 4k-2k) - quality varies, can be used as a backround assets.
* Street elements, such as road, pavement and etc are hardly reusable..

Sidewalk

Angkor Wat is a temple complex in Cambodia and the largest religious monument in the world, with the site measuring 162.6 hectares (402 acres). It was originally constructed as a Hindu temple of god Vishnu for the Khmer Empire, gradually transforming into a Buddhist temple towards the end of the 12th century. It was built by the Khmer King Suryavarman II in the early 12th century in Yaśodharapura, the capital of the Khmer Empire, as his state temple and eventual mausoleum. Breaking from the Shaiva tradition of previous kings, Angkor Wat was instead dedicated to Vishnu. As the best-preserved temple at the site, it is the only one to have remained a significant religious centre since its foundation. The temple is at the top of the high classical style of Khmer architecture. It has become a symbol of Cambodia, appearing on its national flag, and it is the country's prime attraction for visitors.

Emperor Angelfish (Update v2)

"Bayard Station was once the headquarters for the Chesapeake Gas Company of Baltimore City, which merged with several other companies eventually becoming BGE. During the station’s heyday, the gas works spread over 14 acres. The complex included the Valve House; four large telescoping holding tanks, called “gasometers;” and a series of processing buildings, of which one remains today across Hamburg Street. The gas was manufactured, stored in the gasometers, and then piped into the valve house where it was compressed before being directed into the main lines of the city."

The “Monster Building” consists of five connecting buildings, namely Oceanic Mansion, Fook Cheong Building, Montane Mansion, Yick Cheong Building and Yick Fat Building, which form an E-shaped architecture complex.

Minecraft Block Assets

A 5th century AD monastery, the largest in the Judean desert. The complex is built on the southern cliffs of the Kidron creek, and is protected inside a walled area with dozens of structures. It was established by Saint Sabas (Arabic: Mar Saba, Syriac: Lord Saba), and named after him. The monastery started as a place of seclusion of few monks in the caves, led by Sabas. Over the years it was built, expanded, and fortified. During the peak times it housed about 500 monks.
   The site is located 10KM east of Bethlehem, near the desert road to Jerusalem. It is 250M above sea level, hanging over a steep cliff above the Kidron creek. The Kidron starts from the valley between the temple mount and Mount of olives in Jerusalem, and flows eastwards to the Dead sea.

Mar Saba monastery

The Holy Lavra of Saint Sabbas the Sanctified, known in Arabic as Mar Saba  is an Eastern Orthodox Christian monastery overlooking the Kidron Valley at a point halfway between the Old City of Jerusalem and the Dead Sea, within the Bethlehem Governorate of the West Bank.
The traditional date for the founding of the monastery by Sabbas the Sanctified of Mutalaska, Cappadocia is the year 483. Today, the complex houses around 20 monks. It is considered to be one of the oldest inhabited monasteries in the world, and still maintains many of its ancient traditions. One in particular is the restriction on women entering the main compound. The only building that women can enter is the Women's Tower, near the main entrance.

Mar Saba Monastery  -RAWscan

World Trade Center is the original complex that once stood in New York from the start of construction in 1966 groundbreaking, until they were destroyed on September 11, 2001. The complex was opened to public on April 4, 1974; although some buildings were not built or completed yet at the time. It consisted of 7 buildings, the famous being were the twin towers that were once the world's tallest buildings for only 2 years when they were surpassed by Willis (Sears) Tower. Of course, these twin towers ended the Empire State Building's 40 year reign. The old 7 World Trade Center was the last building to be built in that complex, which was built in 1987 and the last building to fall on 9/11 about 7 hours after the North Tower (tower with antenna) fell. The North Tower (1 WTC) was 1,368 feet tall and 1,728 feet with the antenna, while the South Tower (2 WTC) was 1,362 feet tall. They were very famous and appeared in many movie films, they were also an icon of New York City.

World Trade Center

A set of low-poly buildings of varying quality, originally created for a personal project. Unlike real prototypes, the buildings are a bit wider. The materials are repeated here and there, but you can live with that. This variety should be enough to create a believable background of the urban environment similar to American cities of the Rust Belt. The set includes old classic brownstone complexes, brownstones with a flat facade, brownstones typical of areas like Harlem and fictional corner buildings more common in cities like Boston.

Stránská skála (often without diacritics as Stranska skala) is a hill and refers to a Mid-Pleistocene-Cromerian interglacial most important paleontological site in Central Europe.  Its northwestern slope is composed from karstified limestone cliffs in which numerous fossiliferous fissures and caves were found. Approximately 48 meter (157 ft) of this slope are covered by complex talus fan.

Skeleton base for an ecorche study.  I tried for as close to realistic as possible.  I had fairly good references, but bones ended up being significantly more complex than I expected.  Just a first practice attempt at a skeleton.

The Temple at Évora is a unique example of roman religious architecture, and was wrongly described as being built to honor the goddess Diana. It rather was constructed to honor the figure of the emperor. This structure dates from the late 1st century to the early 2nd century A.D., and it was part of a larger complex that included a forum, a public square with a basilica on the opposite side, and it was surrounded by a colonnade. The temple as seen today dates back to the second half of the 19th century, when, under the direction of the cenographer Cinnati, all non-roman elements were removed. The example at Évora has been recognized as having similarities to the Maison Carrée in Nimes (France), given its scale and overall architecture.

Superconductor Train Scene 2

Ellora is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the Aurangabad district of Maharashtra, India. It is one of the largest rock-cut monastery-temple cave complexes in the world, featuring Hindu, Buddhist and Jain monuments, and artwork, dating from the 600–1000 CE period.Cave 16, in particular, features the largest single monolithic rock excavation in the world, the Kailasha temple, a chariot shaped monument dedicated to Lord Shiva. The Kailasha temple excavation also features sculptures depicting the gods, goddesses and mythologies found in Vaishnavism, Shaktism as well as relief panels summarizing the two major Hindu Epics.

There are over 100 caves at the site, all excavated from the basalt cliffs in the Charanandri HillsAll of the Ellora monuments were built during Hindu dynasties such as the Rashtrakuta dynasty, which constructed part of the Hindu and Buddhist caves, and the Yadava dynasty, which constructed a number of the Jain caves.

The Primitive Orbital Station is a Kerbal parody of the historical Soviet Almaz and Salyut space station programs. Shown here is a "Cislunar" orbital complex acting as mothership for 2 mini landers and a micro shuttle supporting the Lunar (KSP: Munar) exploration program. 

The P.O.S. is constructed with parts from Level 1 Research Complex with modules launched using medium lift rockets under 140 tons (i.e., I am too cheap to upgrade the Research Facility with 902,000 funds in a KSP Career game). 

This station is built around a standard Habitation Module with two LK-0 mini-landers and one X-1A Micro Shuttle attached to facilitate orbital rescue or crew recovery during cislunar (KSP: cismunar) operations. Propulsion for the translunar (KSP: transmunar) injection phase of the mission is provided by the POS-2 Propulsion Module which is discarded on a collision course with the Moon (KSP: Mun). 

Note: The acronym for this space station is a pun on this being a very small and quite crappy orbital station!

Stonehenge is a prehistoric monument in Wiltshire, England, two miles (3 km) west of Amesbury.
