*Wiwaxia* had a tiny body covered in overlapping defensive **sclerites**. The hidden, lower surface consisted of a muscular foot and mouthparts for scraping food, like algae, off the sea floor. Wiwixia would have crawled slowly over the sea floor in search of food, as many similar molluscs do today.

A highway interchange scenery in New York, Little Dominican Republic made using Blender 3.3.2. 

This had been one of my older projects which I havent visted for a while, so I've dedicated some time refurbishing up this particular section for public use (yes I'm feeling extremely generous). The file size is pretty hefty so source files and textures are all included in a single folder - just be sure to extract zip file into a folder. 

Also quick side note, I haven't been able to find some time to finish the middle bridge (Alexander Hamilton Bridge) so maybe I can update that in the forseeable future.

The statue of Edward Snowden, called by its creators Prison Ship Martyrs' Monument 2.0, was an ephemeral, illegally-installed public statue of Edward Snowden, an American whistleblower who leaked classified information from the National Security Agency (NSA) and was charged with federal crimes as a result. The bronze-like statue was placed in Fort Greene Park in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, New York City, on April 6, 2015. It was attached to a Doric column on the perimeter of the park's Prison Ship Martyrs' Monument, a memorial and which honors more than 11,500 American prisoners of war who died in the American Revolution.

The statue was mounted by three anonymous artists and their helpers, who were dressed in white helmets and reflective vests of Parks Department workers, early in the morning of April 6, then covered and taken down by NYC Parks officials later that day.

A quick experiment (edit: now a WIP for the [mechanimal challenge](https://blog.sketchfab.com/sketchfab-3d-modeling-challenge-mechanical-animals/) I just discovered!) with hard-surface, and I still have a long way to go !

This model is (more than) based on ["The Timber Beneath"](http://www.scoobasteve.co.nz/2013/01/the-timber-beneath.html), a wonderful sculpture by **Stephen Lambert**.

The different "organs" as well as textures were just randomly thrown around, but with some more practicing, I definitely think I'll start enjoying this style and find a nice designing/modeling/texturing workflow, to hopefully design original models some day.

Also, none of the mechanisms make any "mechanical sense", which is why I did not animate the model. As before, that could change with some more attention brought to details, and a little bit of thinking before acting :D

Journey is an indie adventure game

In Journey, the player controls a robed figure in a vast desert, traveling towards a mountain in the distance. Other players on the same journey can be discovered, and two players can meet and assist each other, but they cannot communicate via speech or text and cannot see each other's names until after the game's credits. The only form of communication between the two is a musical chime, which transforms dull pieces of cloth found throughout the levels into vibrant red, affecting the game world and allowing the player to progress through the levels. The developers sought to evoke in the player a sense of smallness and wonder and to forge an emotional connection between them and the anonymous players they meet along the way.

The head and feet are plaster casts, attached to a body covered in chicken or goose feathers with whole chicken wings added. The tail is made from tufts of ostrich or goose feathers. 

Most models are based on paintings of Dodos which were not scientifically accurate. Now, we know that Dodos were probably much slimmer than this specimen and had longer legs.

**Halloween 2022: Killer Clown V2**

**Generic back story:** No one knows her real name—only **Lira**. 

Raised in broken foster homes, her only keepsake was a worn deck of cards. The joker was her favorite.

As a teen, she found work at a dying circus and discovered an old poster of Balatro, a wild-eyed clown that embodied chaos. She painted her face to match and embraced the madness.

Her first kill was the ringmaster. The hammer fell, again and again. She laughed.

Now, she drifts from town to town, looking for new victims to target. Each scene ends the same: a blood-red joker card and a note—

**“Play again?”**

Consuegra Castle is a fortress of Islamic origin located in the town of Consuegra, the ancient Roman city
of Consabura. It passed into Christian hands around the year 1090, but
after the battle of Consuegra it was recovered by Islamic troops.
In the 12th century it was finally conquered by Christian troops. For
its better defense, King Alfonso VIII donated the castle in 1183 to
the Military Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, which made it its main
fortress in the region. During the Peninsular War (1808–1814) it was
occupied by French troops who partially destroyed it in their retreat.

Currently the castle is owned by the Consuegra City Council, being one
of the most visited monuments in Castilla-La Mancha.

Stránská skála (often without diacritics as Stranska skala) is a hill and refers to a Mid-Pleistocene-Cromerian interglacial most important paleontological site in Central Europe.  Its northwestern slope is composed from karstified limestone cliffs in which numerous fossiliferous fissures and caves were found. Approximately 48 meter (157 ft) of this slope are covered by complex talus fan.

A good reference or gameobject to a computer game.

This building at Skara Brae, Sandwick, Orkney dates from the late Neolithic (c.2900-2400 cal BC) and was the home to stone age farmers . This structure, known as House 1, was discovered after a storm in 1850.  The local laird William Watt excavated this building in the 1850s and1860s discovering a wealth of stone and bone tools.  

Following erosion in the 1920s a defensive sea wall was constructed and Prof. Vere Gordon Childe undertook further excavations.

The walls of this building survive over two metres high and the stone furniture remains in place.   A hearh lies at the centre of the building and a large 'dresser' faces the one metre high door.  The boxes around the sides of the room are bed compartments, which would have been lined with animal skins.  The small stone boxes were used for storage.

Mai Shiranui (kunoichi dress)

This model represents the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-A (NOT the 1701 refit seen on TMP). She is in her final configuration as seen on Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. I textured her like the 1701 refit. Then overlayed the 1701-A aztec. The "paint job" is as close as i could get to the ILM re-paint of the 7ft studio model. ILM repainted the original studio model several times over, and destroyed her original pearlescent finish as seen on TMP. The final result is very dull, and lusterless. Despite that you can still see "some" of the original paint job. Is she perfect? Hell No! There is always room for improvement. Plus it's a low poly gaming model (almost 30k in triangles). Right now i consider her "close enough". Again she is meant to be rendered in Full View. Not extremely close up. Too many low poly flaws.

Ankh-khonsu was a doorkeeper in the Temple of Amun-Re at Karnak. He inherited his position from his father Ankh-en-amun. His brightly painted coffin lid is covered with images of protective deities. Particularly prominent are winged scarab (dung) beetles, symbols of rebirth. One sits on Ankh-khonsu’s head and encircles his face with its wings. A second scarab covers his chest. Both scarabs hold a shen hieroglyph, symbol of eternity, with their hind legs in place of a dung ball. Offering spells including Ankhkhonsu’s name are written on the outside of his coffin. Traces of resins (now black) and water poured over it during his funeral are visible on the top and sides of the coffin.

Coffin of Ankh-Khonsu

The most famous of the Govan stones, the sarcophagus represents a rare monument type in early medieval Scotland prior to the 12th century AD. It was rediscovered in the churchyard by a gravedigger in 1856 and was moved into the church in 1908. It is decorated with a hunting scene, different arrangements of interlaced beasts, and six panels of interlace, some of which appear to be interlaced snakes. It is not known what the lid might have looked like, but two complete drainage holes in the base of the monument (and the worn surfaces surrounding them) suggest that the sarcophagus originally acted as a coffin for the remains of a royal saint, but later functioned as a reliquary.
