Back with another one of my NPR journey milestones.

This is the Character of the Monk class from a rather obscure dungeon crawler game series called "Etrian odyssey" I really love the art style of the Character sprite so I decided to attempt to imitate its art style.

This model took me the longest to make yet, simply because I have to learn a lot of new stuff this time and the rigging is more detailed (I used rigify). I also tried to lower my polygon count as much as I can while still making the character looks good and ended up with around 20k polygon (around 10k if no outline) big improvement from 70k+ I had before.

[Etrian Odyssey 3] Monk

Omen hunts in the shadows. He renders enemies blind, teleports across the field, then lets paranoia take hold as foes scramble to uncover where it might strike next .

A man with mysterious origins, Omen is focused on hindering the vision of his enemies with things like an orb that strikes those in his sights with nearsightedness and another that bursts to obscure the vision of everyone nearby. He can also teleport a short distance, or use his ultimate to teleport anywhere on the map as a shadow.

Fictional Cold War Tank

3D scan of a fossil human skull excavated in the Mladeč Caves, Czech Republic, in 1881. With an absolute age of ca. 31,000 years, the Mladeč 1 skull is one of the oldest securely dated *Homo sapiens* finds in Europe. It provides rare insights into the morphology of our species in the European Upper Paleolithic. 

The Mladeč 1 skull is Number 47 of the NHM Top 100. The valuable original is not on display in the exhibition halls, but a cast can be found in Hall 14 of the NHM Vienna.

In 1929, Hedin travelled to China with the mission to procure a Lamaistic temple to the World Exhibition in Chicago in 1933. An exact model was manufactured at the architect W. H. Liang's workshops in 1932 in Beijing. Two smaller models in scale 1:10 were also made. One of them was sent to Chicago as well. The other was taken to the Ethnographic Museum in Stockholm. Over 5 years ago I've uploaded a model of an arrow. It was a pretty bad arrow but somehow it scored 2.5k downloads.

Today, during my slumber, one of my Lusatian ancestors haunted my dream.

Low-Poly Arrow v2.0

Skull and neck of an adult green iguana (_Iguana iguana_, OUVC 10677), with annotations of some of the more obscure anatomical features. It was collected legally and euthanized humanely by Zoo Miami staff and provided to us for research and education. We scanned the head region on the OUµCT scanner in 2012 at a resolution of 90µm (0.090 mm). Scan data were imported into workstations running Avizo and digitally extracted the bones and soft tissues. The work on this project was done primarily by Alexandra Spaw, who at the time was an undergraduate student in Ohio University's Honors Tutorial College and now is a medical student at Ohio State University. Ryan Ridgely assembled these materials in Maya for upload here. For more 3D content on this specimen, check out the Visible Interactive Iguana site: http://bit.ly/1LzIU6x. United States Penitentiary, Alcatraz Island, also known simply as Alcatraz or The Rock, was a maximum security federal prison on Alcatraz Island, 1.25 miles (2.01 km) off the coast of San Francisco, California, United States. The site of a fort since the 1850s, the main prison building was built in 1910–12 as a U.S. Army military prison.

The United States Department of Justice acquired the United States Disciplinary Barracks, Pacific Branch, on Alcatraz on October 12, 1933. The island became adapted and used as a prison of the Federal Bureau of Prisons in August 1934 after the buildings were modernized and security increased. Given this high security and the island's location in the cold waters and strong currents of San Francisco Bay, prison operators believed Alcatraz to be escape-proof and America's most secure prison.

ALCATRAZ

Soviet high-subsonic recon drone, operated by Russia & Ukraine and used in the recent war. Designed to autonomously fly missions deep behind the enemy frontline, return and land using parachute and landing skids for reuse. Uses the A-86K film camera with a focal length of 300mm.

All control surfaces rigged (no the canards do not move), landing skids not included.

I'm not all too happy about the accuracy of this one, especially for the front window I think the proportions might be wrong. But it's hard to find good reference material for the more obscure aircraft like this.

This Atari 2600 wraps up my Retro series, for now. I may eventually get back to it. I still want to model some more obscure sytems, like the Virtual Boy, but for now I'm going to move on to a more personal art project I've been putting off. There is a bit of an easter egg buried in this scene, for the more scrutinous amoung you. Enjoy.

# Old Guillotine

A guillotine is an apparatus designed for efficiently carrying out executions by beheading. The device consists of a tall, upright frame with a weighted and angled blade suspended at the top. The condemned person is secured with a pillory at the bottom of the frame, holding the position of the neck directly below the blade. The blade is then released, swiftly and forcefully decapitating the victim with a single, clean pass.

The McLaren MCL39 is a Formula One car constructed by McLaren and designed under the direction of Rob Marshall to compete in the 2025 Formula One World Championship. It was driven by Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri in their seventh and third seasons with the team respectively. It successfully defended the World Constructors' Championship title and won the World Drivers' Championship with Norris as he became the first McLaren champion since Lewis Hamilton in 2008.

Favoured by commentators in the pre-season to defend McLaren's title, the MCL39 was consistently the fastest car in the field and successfully defended the WCC, securing it at the 2025 Singapore Grand Prix. Norris secured the WDC at the 2025 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The MCL39 was the first McLaren since the Adrian Newey-designed MP4/13 of 1998 to win both titles in the same season.
