A mega-sized (may not be in correct scale) fantastic gothic style cathedral made entirely with Unreal Engine's BSP brushes converted to modular static meshes. It is merely a sketch/experiment and not very polished in some faces. I also reused some pieces with different scales so those parts may look deformed. The stone brick textures came from the 'Medieval Dungeon' free asset pack in the Epic Games Store.

Folded Carboniferous limestones deformed during the Variscan Orogeny. The virtual outcrop was generated using *Agisoft Photoscan* from 220 aerial photographs acquired with a DJI Phantom 3.

## Scanning
For scanning I placed the shell on a bed of marker cards and geometries securing it with blue tack against rolling (which actually caused problems...). The scan itself was created in standalone mode with marker tracking and 0.2mm resolution in laser mode. It tool roughly 7min to reach full data quality on the front side. I also captured the back side but supposedly the blue tack deformed which resulted in the scan being unusable... Next time I wull try clay.

## Post-Processing
When finishing the single scans it already creates a point cloud so I only had to mesh it in recommended settings (semi-watertight). Afterwards I used Quicksurface to align the scan to the coordinate system and reduce the triangle count to a manageable 4M triangles.

## Scanning
Scan was done in IR mode with 1mm resolution and large mode. For tracking only feature tracking was used (texture would have helped but the light was dim and flickery so no real help...). The final result consists of two scans (top and bottom) to capture the whole armchair. Between the scans I had to turn the chair around so I made sure to capture all cushiony parts in the top scan so when they are deformed after turning I already captured them. When having relatively smooth textile without much wrinkles for tracking you can always try

## Post-Processing
Just point cloud generation and meshing at recommended settings (meshing as semi-watertight) on my workstation (simply faster than on device). Alignment was done in Quicksurface as well as reduction or triangle count (from 14M to ~3M).

The unused basic soldier model from the source code of the 2003 Hulk video game, in the good old T-pose, like the other soldiers in the game.

I posed this model in Mixamo, so his underarm areas are deformed.

He always has a price tag on his hat because it was his business. In this case the opulent top hat with hat cloth and 2 hat pins costs 10 shillings and 6 pence. The protruding end of the hat cloth is equipped with a rig and can be easily deformed. I hope you have fun with the Blender model and that your scenes are a success.
