**Modeling**:

* The scan was remeshed with [mmgs](http://mmgtools.org) from 500k verts to 7k, keeping the face and hands at a higher resolution.
* The ocean surface and ground were created with blender's ocean modifier.
* Light shafts are simply a randomized array of elongated planes.
* The fish is a lowpoly model ( a 30s model ).
* A particle system was created for fish instances, with force fields applied (boids physics, vortex, attraction force and collision on the statue)

**Texturing/lighting**:

* Mix of concrete and coral on the statue
* Sand on the ground
* Nothing on the sea surface
* Radial opacity for ground and surface
* Voronoi textures baked as emission on the statue and the ground, to simulate the light deformation through water
* Lots of color processing

Christ of the Abyss

The 8.0-litre W16-cylinder engine with 1,850 PS and 1,850 Nm of torque is at its heart. Bugatti has designed the drive specifically for use on the race track, and has optimized it in particular for higher engine speeds. For a start, both intake and exhausts systems were de-throttled to obtain a more spontaneous response, while four newly developed turbochargers build up more boost pressure and power at higher engine speeds. In order to cope with the extremely high centrifugal forces the whole dry sump lubrication system was redesigned, bringing also weight saving benefits. The cooling system is new as well, from the air-to-air intercooling for the engine (instead of water-to-air), to the carbon-titanium turbofan radial compressors to ventilate and cool the high-performance racing brake system.

*Myllokunmingia* had a head with a pair of eyes and a nasal opening, up to six pairs of **gills** housed in pouches on the lower surface of the head, and a **dorsal fin** supported by stiff radial rods. It also had **Z-shaped blocks of muscle** and would have been able to swim freely through the water by moving its body side-to-side like a fish.

Sketchfab does not yet import the GLB camera animations. As a workaround, this model keeps the camera fixed and instead moves and rotates the whole world.

IMPORTANT: adjusting the camera position/rotation will ruin the trick so do NOT click and drag with your mouse.

Clearly lighting goes wrong, it's not possible to have shadows on the ground and the background picture does not make sense but it still looks pretty cool and gives a nice demo of the power of camera animation.

This historic structure...was modeled after the Palazzo Vecchio in Florence, Italy.  The tower was designed by Joseph Evans Sperry and built by Captain Isaac Emerson...The most interesting feature is the still-functioning tower clock, the face of which displays the word BROMO-SELTZER instead of numbers. Designed by Seth Thomas in 1911, it was the largest four-dial gravity-driven non-chiming clock in the world...The original tower was topped by a 51-foot revolving replica of the blue Bromo-Seltzer bottle, which was illuminated with 596 lights and could be seen 20 miles away. Due to structural concerns, the bottle was removed in 1936."

Roca dels Moros del Cogul, pintures rupestres

Construida en 1778 por mandato del rey Carlos III y diseñada por Francesco Sabatini, la Puerta de Alcalá era una de las cinco puertas reales, o de registro, que daban acceso a la ciudad. Se trata de un emblema patrimonial de la ciudad de Madrid y también del Paisaje de la Luz, bien cultural incluido en la Lista de Patrimonio Mundial desde el 25 de julio de 2021. 

El singular valor de este monumento y su actual estado de conservación han motivado la puesta en marcha de un proyecto de restauración impulsado desde la Dirección General de Patrimonio Cultural del Ayuntamiento de Madrid, entre cuyas medidas figura la creación de un gemelo digital que servirá para obtener un diagnóstico exhaustivo sobre las patologías que afectan al monumento. The globe has a round, Dutch-type base, equipped with a compass (the needle and the glass plate are missing) with the rose of the winds on the dial. The names of the directions are abbreviated, and north is marked with a fleur-de-lys. The globe’s horizon is made of wood and has an octagonal shape. It is supported by four legs turned in wood. The globe is 7–9 cm wide, with each side having the length of about 20 cm. Attached to the wood is a paper layer made of four parts. It depicts the azimuth, zodiac (degrees and symbols), as well as Julian and Gregorian calendars. All the elements are given Latin names. The cardinal and intermediate directions of the world are described in German.

Il s’agit d’une maquette de sous-marin de haute-mer de type Brumaire (1912-1921), nommé Faraday. La coque est en bois vernis avec deux pavillons français. Du fil de fer est utilisé pour orner le dessus et mettre en avant les infrastructures du pont supérieur.

Lancé le 27 juin 1911 puis rayé des effectifs dès 1921, le sous-marin Faraday, de type Brumaire, a été construit en 1906, à Rochefort, d'après les plans des ingénieurs Lauboeuf et Lévy. Construite pour la marine nationale française peu avant la Première Guerre mondiale, la classe Brumaire est une classe de seize sous-marins qui ont tous participé à la guerre. Trois seront coulés.

Equatorial sundial

The Long Case or Floor Clock was invented in the mid-17th century with pendulums calibrated to swing once a second.
Thereafter these became items of high-end decoration as well as reliable time pieces. In the early 18th century, the moon or lunar dial was added.
Around 1876 Long Case Clocks became better known as 'grandfather clocks' due to a popular song retelling the story of the song-writers putative grandfather’s clock.
This model would stand 1.95 metres tall, which is a typical size.

Edifié en 1552 par François Colas des Francs, bourgeois marchand d'Orléans, le cabinet conservait ses archives et son trésor. Il est remarquable par sa riche décoration intérieure d'époque Renaissance. Il fut successivement la propriété de la Congrégation des Petites Soeurs Dominicaines puis de l'Etat puis de la Ville d'Orléans. Rescapé des bombardements de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, il agrémente  le jardin Jacques-Boucher.
