Journey is an indie adventure game

In Journey, the player controls a robed figure in a vast desert, traveling towards a mountain in the distance. Other players on the same journey can be discovered, and two players can meet and assist each other, but they cannot communicate via speech or text and cannot see each other's names until after the game's credits. The only form of communication between the two is a musical chime, which transforms dull pieces of cloth found throughout the levels into vibrant red, affecting the game world and allowing the player to progress through the levels. The developers sought to evoke in the player a sense of smallness and wonder and to forge an emotional connection between them and the anonymous players they meet along the way.

V&A text: This is an image of Nandi, the sacred bull-calf. In Sanskrit Nandi means ‘joyfulness’ or ‘blissfulness’ and refers to the emotions experienced by a devotee in the presence of Lord Shiva. Temples dedicated to Shiva, the Hindu lord of creation and destruction, are found throughout the Indian subcontinent. An essential element in any Shiva temple is the image of Nandi. It occupies an axial position, focusing the attention of the faithful from the outer halls of the temple directly into its spiritual heart, the ‘garbhagrha’ (‘womb chamber’).

2021 Ferrari SF90 Spider

In Greek art, the Amazons, a mythical race of warrior women from Asia Minor, were often depicted battling such heroes as Herakles, Achilles, and Theseus. This statue represents a refugee from battle who has lost her weapons and bleeds from a wound under her right breast. Her chiton is unfastened at one shoulder and belted at the waist with a makeshift bit of bridle from her horse. Despite her plight, her face shows no sign of pain or fatigue. She leans lightly on a pillar at her left and rests her right arm gracefully on her head in a gesture often used to denote sleep or death. Such emotional restraint was characteristic of classical art of the second half of the fifth century B.C.

Pieta A 3D Tribute to Michelangelo's Masterpiece

My final entry for the statues texturing challenge organized by Sketchfab and SMK on the theme of gender representation in classical sculpture.

**My interpretation**

I tried to infuse this model with the theme of the sea, thinking of this statue as an old ship figurehead.

Burnt and torn apart during fierce marine battles, it was then meticulously repaired by the ship's captain, who replaced the damaged parts with inclusions of aquamarine, and finalized his craft with seals of gold. 

I love to imagine the captain as a very masculine yet paradoxical man, a bearded giant letting his deepest emotions, hidden to its pairs, appear through his delicate work.

Textured in blender by cautiously mixing PBR textures, then baked to the unmodified challenge's model. Post-processing and lighting were kept simple to emphasize the texturing work.

2022 Audi RS e-tron GT

This wire sculpture by British artist Richard Stainthorp showcases his signature ability to turn industrial materials into expressive human forms. Composed of tightly wound black and white wires, the reclining figure captures anatomical detail with surprising nuance: the curve of the torso, the tension in the limbs, the quiet balance of a body at rest. Stainthorp has worked with wire since the mid‑1990s, developing a technique that emphasizes emotion through posture rather than facial expression. In this piece, the relaxed, grounded pose suggests contemplation and ease, while the layered wirework reveals the underlying structure like exposed musculature. The Statue of St Thomas by Pierre Le Gros the Younger (c. 1703–1711) resides in the Archbasilica of St. John Lateran in Rome. It was part of Pope Clement XI's project to fill Borromini's niches with twelve colossal apostle statues, sponsored by King Peter II of Portugal. Le Gros was the only sculptor who successfully refused to work from the prescribed drawings by Carlo Maratta. His initial, highly emotional Baroque terracotta model was rejected. The final marble statue is more restrained: St Thomas holds a carpenter's square, with ordered drapery. His distinctive finger protrudes from the niche, pointing toward the altar, symbolizing moving beyond doubt on the path of faith.
