A plastered human skull; the skull was taken as the base and the features of the face were modelled on it in plaster. One eye is made from a bivalve shell divided in two. The other has one, smaller, complete shell in place and is missing its twin.

The Jericho Skull

Tyrannosaurus rex was one of the largest carnivorous dinosaurs that ever lived. Everything about this ferocious predator, from its thick, heavy skull to its 4-foot-long (1.2-meter-long) jaw, was designed for maximum bone-crushing action.

This particular replica of T-REX's skeleton is on display in Knuthenborg Safaripark, Denmark. 

The photogrammetric capture has been done spontaneously, as a part of recreational visit to the park. 
Due to other participants of the visit not 'feeling for' photogrammetric capture, it had to be done extra-fast, resulting in a single 'loop' of photographs.

Robert Stephenson's 0-2-2 locomotive [Rocket](https://collection.sciencemuseum.org.uk/objects/co8084947/stephensons-rocket-steam-locomotive) from the [Science Museum Group Collection](http://collection.sciencemuseum.org.uk/).  

Manufactured in 1829 by Robert Stephenson and Company in Newcastle, close to today’s Newcastle Central railway station, Rocket won the famous [Rainhill Trials](https://www.railwaymuseum.org.uk/objects-and-stories/rocket-rainhill-and-rise-locomotive)  to become the fastest locomotive of its time thanks to its innovative design.

This 3D model of Rocket was produced using 22 high resolution LIDAR scans and over 2,500 detailed photographs taken in May 2018. Raven skull

Medieval church located inside the impressive Fortress of Calatrava La Nueva in Aldea del Rey (Ciudad Real, Spain). The castle/convent of Calatrava La Nueva was built in the 13th century to serve as the seat of the powerful Order of Calatrava and today it is one of the most important castles in Spain. Inside, a large 3-nave church was built in an artistic style that mixes elements of Romanesque, Gothic and influences of Islamic art. This mixture of styles, but also of constructive and decorative techniques, make the church of Calatrava La Nueva a unique place.

We want to publicly thank the collaboration of the Castilla-La Mancha regional government, Aldea del Rey City Council, and the archaeologist Ana Segovia Fernández, for the assistance and faciliation they have given provided.

Processed in Reality Capture from 76 Faro laser scans and 4100 photographs.

Shurijo castle is a Ryukyuan gusuku in Shuri, Okinawa. Between 1429 and 1879, it was the palace of the Ryukyu Kingdom, before becoming largely neglected. In 1945, during the Battle of Okinawa, it was almost completely destroyed. After the war, the castle was re-purposed as a university campus. Beginning in 1992, the central citadel and walls were largely reconstructed on the original site based on historical records, photographs, and memory. On the morning of 31 October 2019, the main courtyard structures of the castle were destroyed in a fire.

Shuri Castle / Shurijō, Naha - Okinawa .WIP

Micro CT scan of a young chimpanzee skull from the D’Arcy Thompson Zoology Museum at the University of Dundee.

Pan sp. - Chimpanzee. DUNUC 2404 & 2404/1. Length=15cm. Acquired by D'Arcy Thompson from William Cross of Liverpool in 1886. Writing to his grandfather, D'Arcy noted: “I yesterday received a chimpanzee, one of the most manlike of apes; it is the rarest and most valuable specimen I have yet had... One of the young Doctors came and helped me to remove its brain at 11 o’clock at night. It was in beautiful condition. I shall be able to make a whole series of preparations besides cleaning the skeleton and stuffing the skin.” The stuffed skin and the brain are also still in the museum.

Chimpanzee skull

The building consists of multiple balcony- and window-modules that allow for rapid mass-production.

The model is not game-ready and consists of just under 600K tris. It is mostly usable for offline rendering or environment concept art.

Building Brutalist TriCorner

This is a 3D model of a female Bottlenose dolphin (“Poli”) from Honduras (Tursiops truncatus) which was re-created from photographs and other information provided by the staff at the Roatan Institute for Marine Sciences (RIMS) at Anthony’s Key Resort in Roatan, Honduras.  Mass is 147 kg; Total length (TL) is 241 cm.

CG artists Johnson Martin and Robert Gutierrez reconstructed this individual dolphin from photographs and other information using the open-access software Blender.

Sphinx of Hatshepsut

This is a 3D animation of a subadult Shortfin Mako Shark (Isurus oxyrinchus). This is a composite shark model that was reconstructed using a combination of photographs and video from Joe Romeiro, and also referenced against a 3D photogrammetry scan of a subadult Mako shark (provided by Joshua Moyer).

We thank the Atlantic Shark Institute (Jon Dodd) and the Cape Eleuthera Institute (Nathan Robinson and Edd Brooks) for supporting and facilitating creation of the model.  Nathan Robinson is now at Oceanogràfic.

CG artist Robert Gutierrez reconstructed this shark from photographs and other information using the open-access software Blender.  As this model was recreated from photos and other data, we make no claim that it perfectly reflects an actual shark, but we have strived to be as anatomically correct as possible.

Model 62A - Shortfin Mako

Seated Buddha preaching. Unusually for this hand gesture, the Buddha wears the over-robe on both shoulders with a thick curved neckline, an edge lying below the right forearm, the semi-circle between the legs rather deep and the fall of gathered drapery from the left wrist, where the backthrow may be visible, undulating in high relief to lie splayed and almost flat on the seat.

Bat skull

Scanned today (2016-12-05) in a grave yard in Ft. Worth, Texas.

This is a decimated model. Processed using RealityCapture with 335 photographs. Canon 6D, 50mm lens, 800 ISO, f8 @ 1/100 sec. No tripod and no footstool to get the top of the cross... oh, well... I think I got most of the important stuff.

Cemetery Angel - Furey

Bronze gladiator's helmet. It has a grille of linked circles to protect the face, and a broad brim to protect the back and sides of the head. At the front of the helmet is a medallion of Hercules. Said to have been found in the gladiators' barracks at Pompeii. 

48.26 centimetres high.

Produced from 140 photographs taken by Professor Eric Poehler, UMass Amherst. The helmet was photographed on a workbench, without lights and no access to the interior.  It is therefore not top quality, but is useful for visualisation.

Model created by Daniel Pett, work needed in Blender to make this a better model (to be done at a later date.)
