Scifi Girl v.01

This is a 3D animation ("Shelly") of a near-adult loggerhead (ID=982.000406129037) sea turtle (*Caretta caretta*, straight carapace length=86 cm) that was initially captured on June 23, 2017 by the Inwater Research Group, and then photgraphed with the Beastcam technology with 20 Canon G16 cameras.  Photographer Christine Shepard operated the cameras and the sea turtle was released that same day in good condition.  The 3D model was initially created through a photogrammetry scan using Capturing Reality.

Animator Johnson Martin  used Blender to reconstruct the full sea turtle from these scans, as well as animate the movements. Jeanette Wyneken from Florida Atlantic University, and Charles Mairne from the Loggerhead MarineLife Center each provided feedback on the movements.

Model 47A - Loggerhead Sea Turtle

SCP-096 is a humanoid creature measuring approximately 2.38 meters in height. Subject shows very little muscle mass, with preliminary analysis of body mass suggesting mild malnutrition. Arms are grossly out of proportion with the rest of the subject's body, with an approximate length of 1.5 meters each. Skin is mostly devoid of pigmentation, with no sign of any body hair.

This is a 3D model of Bakari, a **Southern Right Rhino** (Ceratotherium simum) from **Perth Zoo**, Western Australia, which was initially scanned using an array of 20 Canon G16 cameras.  CG artist **Jer Bot** used the open source 3D animation software **Blender** (blender.org) to fully reconstruct the rhino. The mass of the Rhino is 2225 kg and its length is 2.1 meters. Reference photos were also used as a guide to create taxonomic features onto the 3D model using Blender's sculpting tools.

Model 56A - Southern White Rhino

This is an animation (“Mar”) of a hatchling Hawksbill (ID Ei1801) sea turtle (*Eretmochelys imbricata*, straight carapace length 11.8 cm) that was initially rescued by the Loggerhead MarineLife Center, and then photographed with the Beastcam technology with 30 Canon G16 cameras. The sea turtle was released soon after in good condition. The 3D model was initially created through a photogrammetry scan using Capturing Reality.

Model 50A - Hawksbill Sea Turtle

The blue whale is a marine mammal belonging to the baleen whales. At up to 29.9 metres  in length and with a maximum recorded weight of 173 tonnes, it is the largest animal known to have ever existed.

The Gislinge boat was a 12th Century CE working boat found near the village of Gislinge, Denmark, in 1993. Dendrochronological dating puts its date of construction at around 1130 CE. It was probably used for fishing and goods transportation, and by the signs of wear and tear must have been 50 years old by the time it sank. This reconstruction is based off the Gislinge Boat Open Source Project by the Roskilde Viking Ship Museum (@vikingshipmuseum) , which can be accessed here: https://www.vikingeskibsmuseet.dk/en/professions/boatyard/building-projects/gislingeboat-2016

The project included the construction of various different experimental replicas based on the original find, and the publishing of all the plans so that other people around the world could build their own replica! Gislinge Viking Boat

This is an animation of an adult female **Great Hammerhead Shark** (Sphyrna mokarran) that was reconstructed from multiple cameras arranged around a dive in South Bimini, Bahamas in February 2020.  Casey Sapp coordinated all videography.  Kevin Davidson kindly contributed useful reference photos.

CG artist **Jer Bot** used the software Blender to align these camera views to reconstruct the accurate shape and color of **Nemesis** (PIT tag 900236000107365), which had an estimated length of 329 cm based on laser photogrammetry.  Nemesis commonly frequents dive spots near Bimini and is well-known to divers and scientists from the Bimini shark lab (www.biminisharklab.com).

The **ANGARI Foundation** (www.angari.org) coordinated and supported this research, along with Sean Williams, Ken Morton, Jonathan and Jameson Bayuk, Annabelle Brooks, and Vital Heim.

Model 73A - Great Hammerhead Shark

The Aleksander class frigate was the largest Russian archipelago navy class ship in 1790 on the Baltic Sea. Five of these ships took part in the Second Battle of Svensksund on July 9th and were lost (taken over, sunk, or burnt), while eight frigates in total were built during the war of 1788–1790 against Sweden. Aleksandr class frigates had a typical ship rig of the period. Aleksandr class is known as an archipelago or rowing frigate. The hull has nine smaller holes between gun deck main gun ports.

This is a 3D animation of a Southern Right Whale (Eubalaena australis, Panel C, Fig. 1) which was reconstructed using the open source software Blender 3D (blender.org). Measurements taken from drone videos of right whales (see Christensen et al. 2019) were used to create an ellipsoid that served as a basis for the model. The measurements for height and width of the whale were taken at increments of 5% of the total body length. Reference photos were also used as a guide to create taxonomic features onto the ellipsoid using Blender 3D sculpting tools (primarily the dynamic topology function). These features included the fluke, pectoral fins, eye, and mouth arrangements.

"Kama" Dagger

The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter is a family of small-tonnage vehicles from Mercedes-Benz.

There are four body length options (three wheelbase options) and three roof height options, it has dual or single rear axle wheels. Chassis load capacity up to 3350 kg.

A large number of modifications are available: a passenger minibus, a fixed-route taxi (19+7 seats), an intercity minibus (up to 20 seats), a cargo van, a flatbed truck, a refrigerated truck, specialized vehicles (ambulance, mobile headquarters, manipulator, crane), etc.

All-wheel drive and automatic transmission options are available. There is a possibility of buying a chassis.

Both in Europe and in the Russian Federation, the practice of re-equipment and retrofitting of the MB Sprinter from third-party body manufacturers is widespread.

Mercedes-Benz Sprinter

Raw scan made on cinema movie projector that is standing in Kijów Centrum Cimena in Kraków, Poland
It was used for 35mm tape. Produced in the 1961 by Łódzkie Zakłady Kinotechniczne in Poland. The projector was designed for cinemas with rooms up to 1000 seats. It was then one of the most popular models used in Polish cinemas

The projector was equipped with an aspherical mirror with a diameter of 356 mm and a focal length of 120 mm. The standard lens provided by the manufacturer was Polkinar 1.8 / 100

The basic equipment of the projector was an optical sound reading system with two exposure bulbs - one in the working position, the other one in reserve (both fixed in the rotating holder, which allowed for exchange without interrupting the projection). In addition, the projector could be equipped with a 4-channel magnetic sound pickup

The projector was powered by a three-phase asynchronous motor. The engine was started using an automatic starter.

Cinema Movie Projector AP5 - 1961

This is an animation of a juvenile (straight minimum carapace length = 27.5 cm, mass = 3.0 kg) green sea turtle (Chelonia mydas) that was reconstructed from photos and measurements from a live individual. The turtle was collected by Inwater Research Group during an in-water assessment to gain valuable insights into the demographics of this threatened species.  The turtle was in good health and released back into the wild.  A CG artist (Johnson Martin) reconstructed the turtle using Blender software.

Model 72B - Juvenile Green Sea Turtle

Micro CT scan of a young chimpanzee skull from the D’Arcy Thompson Zoology Museum at the University of Dundee.

Pan sp. - Chimpanzee. DUNUC 2404 & 2404/1. Length=15cm. Acquired by D'Arcy Thompson from William Cross of Liverpool in 1886. Writing to his grandfather, D'Arcy noted: “I yesterday received a chimpanzee, one of the most manlike of apes; it is the rarest and most valuable specimen I have yet had... One of the young Doctors came and helped me to remove its brain at 11 o’clock at night. It was in beautiful condition. I shall be able to make a whole series of preparations besides cleaning the skeleton and stuffing the skin.” The stuffed skin and the brain are also still in the museum.

Scanned with a Nikon XT H 225ST micro CT scanner. The resulting file is exported as an stl. and imported in to Zbrush. Texture is added from photographs using the Spotlight function and Polypainting.

This is a 3D model ("Mary") of an adult (curved carapace length 940 mm) female flatback sea turtle (Natator depressus, PIT tag 900119000520197, captured 11/21/17, Thevenard Island, Western Australia) as part of the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions' North West Shelf Flatback Turtle Conservation Program (DBCA-NWSFTCP) with Scott Whiting (DBCA), Sabrina Fossette (DBCA) and Adrian Gleiss (Murdoch University). The turtle was photographed on a nesting beach using the Beastcam system and released in good condition. The 3D model was created through a photogrammetry scan using COLMAP and Autodesk REMAKE. Animator Jer Bot used Blender to reconstruct the sea turtle. Credit should be given to the Digital Life project and NWSFTCP: “The author(s) acknowledge the Digital Life project and the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions’ North West Shelf Flatback Turtle Conservation Program for creation of the 3D flatback turtle model”.

Swords of this form were common in Europe throughout the 13th and 14th Centuries. Similar swords are depicted in I.33, the earliest European personal combat instruction that we know of today. . This was a dynamic time in the use of the sword as combatants transitioned from mail to plate armor and the use of the buckler was common.

This is an animation of a juvenile (straight minimum carapace length = 75.1 mm, mass = 72.8 g, age=20 days) Leatherback sea turtle (Dermochelys coriacea) that was reconstructed from photos and measurements from a live individual. The turtle was collected by Jeanette Wyneken (Florida Atlantic University) for her research on leatherback ecology and development, and the model was created in collaboration with the Upwell Non-Profit (https://www.upwell.org/). Model 74A - Juvenile Leatherback Sea Turtle

This is a 3D model of a female Bottlenose dolphin (“Poli”) from Honduras (Tursiops truncatus) which was re-created from photographs and other information provided by the staff at the Roatan Institute for Marine Sciences (RIMS) at Anthony’s Key Resort in Roatan, Honduras.  Mass is 147 kg; Total length (TL) is 241 cm.

CG artists Johnson Martin and Robert Gutierrez reconstructed this individual dolphin from photographs and other information using the open-access software Blender.

Scanned with an Artec Eva surface scanner. The resulting file is exported as an obj. and imported into Zbrush. The texture is captured during the scanning process and converted to Polypaint in Zbrush.

- Also require a lot of cylinder pin 1.7mm diameter. 15-20mm Length.
