The Jericho Skull

This model was captured autonomously by Skydio 3D Scan. 3D Scan is a first-of-its-kind adaptive scanning software built on top of Skydio Autonomy. The Great Drawing Room has the most sumptuous interior in the house. It was a setting for entertaining, music and dancing. The room is inspired by the magnificent [Baroque](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baroque) style of the late 17th century. This style provided a suitable opulent backdrop for big parties.

Each model has its origin located at its feet, so that placement in a scene is made easy. However, some refined scaling is probably needed as some children have become giants in the process...

Hintze Hall, NHM London [surface model]

The Doom Slayer is the protagonist and playable character of Doom, Doom II: Hell on Earth, Final Doom, Doom 64, Doom (2016), Quake Champions, Quake III Arena and Doom Eternal (and possibly Doom 3 ). He is also known by the UAC as DM1-5, DOOM Marine or The Slayer, and by the Demons of Hell as the Doom Slayer, the Unchained Predator, the Beast or the Hell Walker. Depending on the version of the character, his real name or aliases include William Joseph "B.J" Blazkowicz and Flynn Taggart. He is known in the flashback subtitles as Doomguy.

Imported my old cathedral build and updated it with new blocks, new building techniques, and new surroundings. It was a self-challenge to see how realistic I can make it using only blocks/textures/techniques available in vanilla minecraft. The map was made on a 1.8 build server but packed & uploaded in 1.12.

Had to remove some features from the map during export due to technical difficulties, so it's better to check out the map ingame if you can. The lightmap res is pretty small for each block due to the number of blocks in the whole scene.

It also permits you to view the Bones weight, or the part of the model that is affected by a particular bone. To view the bones on the model above, just activate the Model Inspector (shortcut "I") and select "Bones". Alternately, you can press "6" on your number pad to view the bones, and press it again to view the bones weight. A collection of reprocessed scanned animal skulls ([other free assets here](https://skfb.ly/6yQSW)), initally designed to be used as as game props, particles or for optimized renderings. 

**BUT**:  the method I used for remeshing and texture baking was not adapted in this case, and many normal inversions for instance have happened. Moreover, as these assets were batch-processed, I neglected some parts of the material, hence some black zones on the scans... 

You can of course still use them for your projects, but know that the quality on those baked models is not that good! Plus 1024px is too few for those complex objects...

Each model is made of 2500 triangles, and 1024 pixels albedo and normal maps.

The original scans were first remeshed with [mmgs](http://mmgtools.org), and decimated, UV unwrapped and baked in blender. Normal maps are ready to use for Unreal Engine, don't forget to flip their green channel in Unity!

All the original scans come from the great collection of UVic Libraries - @uviclib .
