Logo: A picture of the Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank is seen with a gold tint, and "ripples" slowly before rotating to reveal itself as the WB shield over the quintessential cloud skyline, both of which are now redone in CGI. The shield rotates and zooms out to its usual position, with the company byline fading in underneath.

Trivia: If one pauses right before the transition from the backlot image to the shield animation, posters and murals can be seen on the studio walls on Olive Avenue. As seen in the 75 Years montage, the posters from left to right are: Twister, The Stars Fell on Henrietta, Les Miserables, Space Jam, a The WB Television Network KTLA 5 advertisement, ER, Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, Murphy Brown, Friends, and a cloud mural featuring shows from Warner Bros. Television, dating the image to somewhere between early to mid 1996.

Dragon Ball - Goku Super Sayayin

Lugar de nacimiento de Miguel Benavides y Añoza, fundador de la Universidad de Santo Tomás de Manila, Filipinas, la universidad más antigua de Asia, fundada el 28 de abril de 1611. Se trata hoy día la universidad católica más grande del mundo. Es el antiguo emplazamiento de un edificio noble de piedra colindante con una de las puertas de la muralla que cercaba la villa de Carrión, la Puerta del Canto, derribada en 1868.

Day #5 of my Everyday a Scan series!


This week, I’ll be concentrating on the many different districts of San Fransisco, CA.


This incredible house was captured in the Mission district of San Francisco, at the intersection of York St. and 25th. This entire neighborhood is filled with Murals left and right. Some on people's garage doors, some on the entire side of the building, and in this case, the entire house. 

This mural was done by a group called Precita Eyes Muralists, directed by Max Marttila and Fred Alvarado in collaboration with the Urban Youth Arts Program. 


Make sure you sound is turned out, the audio of the space really puts things into context.

SF Street Art 26 - 24th & York Mini Park

Yes, this was a hell of a scan... it look me 10-15 minutes to walk the entire street. Shootout to @polycam app (@cpheinrich), that handled the capture from the beginning to the end of this 560 ft long scan (170 m.)!

Clarion Alley is a small street in SF between Mission and Valencia Streets, notable for its world [renowned murals](https://clarionalleymuralproject.org/). To me it's the Street Arts Mecca, and it tell so much about the history of SF past decades, its mystical bohemian tradition, the challenges faced by its communities, and much more.

Day 35: Scanning Clarion Alley Street Art

The castle comprises the original enclosure of the medieval village of Montemor-o-Novo. The virtual tour we present to you has the approximate length of a 1,5 Km and starts in the former Church of S. Tiago / Interpretive Center of the Castle. It goes through the streets of the centuries-old intramural village and gives you a better understanding of both the past and the present of this place.

This model is one result of Global Digital Heritage's campaign in Alentejo (Portugal) in 2019. A product of the processing in Reality Capture of the 15.306 photos of two drones working on site, one by Miguel Angel Hervás (Baraka Arqueólogos S.L.) and the other by João Marques (GEODRONE). The campaign was supported by Montemor-o-Novo's Municipality, Évora's Municipality and Direção Regional de Cultura do Alentejo.

Montemor-o-Novo's Castle

Esta é uma cela do Convento de Nossa Senhora da Saudação em Montemor-o-Novo, edifício religioso da ordem dominicana situado no interior do perímetro amuralhado do Castelo de Montemor-o-Novo e cuja fundação data da primeira metade do século XVI. Esta era uma das celas de reclusão e isolamento das freiras dominicanas que habitavam este Convento.

Plaque from the 16th century with the depiction of the Dance of Death. The plaque cast in silver has 2 fastening pins on the back. 21x4 cm.

Between 1410 and 1425, a mural with originally 30 and today still 24 dancing couples was created in the abbey of La Chaise-Dieu. The Dance of Death is the representation of the influence and power of death that emerged in the 14th century. Death dances with everyone, whether king, knight, maid, clergyman or child.

Zwischen 1410 und 1425 entstand in der Abtei La Chaise-Dieu ein Wandgemälde mit ursprünglich 30 und heute noch 24 Tanzpaaren. Der Totentanz ist die im 14. Jahrhundert aufgekommene Darstellung des Einflusses und der Macht des Todes. Der Tod tanzt mit jeden, egal ob König, Ritter, Magd, Geistlichen oder Kind.

Mould-made terracotta figurine of Demeter-Tyche standing wearing a long peplos and a mural crown. Her hair falls in braids upon her shoulders in the "amp hairstyle." She holds a cornucopia in her left hand which is resting on a square column. Her right arm is broken. The maker of the object is unknown, but the figurine can be dated to approximately 200 BCE and is said to be from Greece.  The University of Alberta purchased this item.

Fragment of limestone panel featuring the profile portrait of Aj Sak Teles "White Basilisk" sajal of Lakanhá, son of Yo’Nal Bahlam, who reigned from approximately 743 to 776 AD. This lord was the father of Yajaw Chan Muwaan II, the commissioner of the famous mural paintings and subsequent monuments of Bonampak.
