Animated Dragon Three Motion Loops

Rocca Calascio is a mountaintop fortress or rocca in the Province of L'Aquila in Abruzzo, Italy.
Built of stone and masonry exclusively for military purposes and intended only to accommodate troops and never as residence for nobles, the fortress overlooks the Plain of Navelli at one of the highest points in the ancient Barony of Carapelle.

Construction of the fortress started in the tenth century as a single watchtower. A walled courtyard with four cylindrical towers at the corners around a taller inner tower was added in the thirteenth century. The lower half of the fortress is built with distinctively larger stones than its upper half. It is believed that this feature was to make its base impenetrable to invaders. The fortress was never tested in battle. However, it was badly damaged in November 1461 by an earthquake with an estimated magnitude of 7 to 8 on the Richter Scale.

Consuegra Castle is a fortress of Islamic origin located in the town of Consuegra, the ancient Roman city
of Consabura. It passed into Christian hands around the year 1090, but
after the battle of Consuegra it was recovered by Islamic troops.
In the 12th century it was finally conquered by Christian troops. For
its better defense, King Alfonso VIII donated the castle in 1183 to
the Military Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, which made it its main
fortress in the region. During the Peninsular War (1808–1814) it was
occupied by French troops who partially destroyed it in their retreat.

Currently the castle is owned by the Consuegra City Council, being one
of the most visited monuments in Castilla-La Mancha.

A generic doctor, for the sketchfab weekly, sadly I didnt finish in time. Also I wouldnt say its finished, theres still a lot that can be improved. 
I think this is the first human character I've made in over a decade, it kind of looks like a toy.
1024x body texture, and a 512x for the head. Could have reduced the poly count by removing the shirt parts you cant see over the coat, it has AO baked on so if you took the coat off, it'd just be black texture. 
I think I could be playing with the rigging forever, so I called it here, I also re-learned the importance of good loops....

Doctor - Sketchfab Weekly - 13 Mar'23

In one of those “out there” news items, Call of Duty: Warzone may soon be getting a visit from the likes of Godzilla and King Kong. According to Xfire, Activision is potentially planning on having the King Kong and Godzilla arrive for events in Warzone later this year, in addition to “more spectacular global in-game events” planned.

Xfire states that they were provided with images from a now-deleted Twitter account. Among the images were “King Kong swatting a WW2 plane out of the sky whilst soldiers aimed rifles at him in the distance” and “Godzilla destroying troops below with a bright blue beam”.

Granted, these images were concept art, but the noteworthy aspect of these images was that they were alongside Warzone Season 2 images. Season 2 of Warzone kicked off on February 14th, if you’re wondering

Located in the south east corner of the Tower of London.

From the information board: "This tower is part of Henry III's late 1230s curtain wall, which rings the castle... this tower overlooked the river. Archers could shoot arrows through the arrow-loops in this room. Upstairs was a comfortable chamber with a huge fireplace and decorative window. The tower's exterior windows were restored in 1857-8."

Here is a exploration I did on crocodile / alligator anatomy. Originally it was meant to be only a crocodile study, but midway through I realized some of my reference was of alligators, whoops. 

I also gave it wings.

Also learned some new workflow additions, including custom 3d brushes and baking processes.

The Boeing C-17 Globemaster III is a large military transport aircraft. It was developed for the United States Air Force (USAF) from the 1980s to the early 1990s by McDonnell Douglas. The C-17 carries forward the name of two previous piston-engined military cargo aircraft, the Douglas C-74 Globemaster and the Douglas C-124 Globemaster II. The C-17 commonly performs tactical and strategic airlift missions, transporting troops and cargo throughout the world; additional roles include medical evacuation and airdrop duties. It was designed to replace the Lockheed C-141 Starlifter, and also fulfill some of the duties of the Lockheed C-5 Galaxy, freeing the C-5 fleet for outsize cargo.
 Aside from the United States, the C-17 is in service with the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, NATO Heavy Airlift Wing, India, and Kuwait. The final C-17 was completed at the Long Beach, California plant and flown on 29 November 2015.

Tiger Tank was a German heavy tank of World War II that operated beginning in 1942 in Africa and in the Soviet Union, usually in independent heavy tank battalions. It gave the German Army its first armoured fighting vehicle that mounted the 8.8 cm KwK 36 gun (derived from the 8.8 cm Flak 36, the famous "eighty-eight" feared by Allied troops). 1,347 were built between August 1942 and August 1944.After August 1944, production of the Tiger I was phased out in favour of the Tiger II.

South Korean Destroyer Chung Mu

Sketchfab does not yet import the GLB camera animations. As a workaround, this model keeps the camera fixed and instead moves and rotates the whole world.

IMPORTANT: adjusting the camera position/rotation will ruin the trick so do NOT click and drag with your mouse.

Clearly lighting goes wrong, it's not possible to have shadows on the ground and the background picture does not make sense but it still looks pretty cool and gives a nice demo of the power of camera animation.

BluffTitler 16.6.0.6 features a FAKE CAMERA checkbox in the FILE > EXPORT AS MODEL... dialog to automate this camera trick:

Procedural tests with Blender:

* Create a randomized smooth curve for the path
* Create a randomized spiky curve for the contour
* Use the contour as a bevel object for the path
* Select face loops according to a "smoothness criteria" (WIP)
* Assign different materials to different face loops
* Optionnaly shrink - or extrude and shrink - some face loops for the emission material

Wawel Royal Castle – National Art Collection

A Hussar szyszak was a type of helmet commonly used by the troops of the Polish Hussars, similar to the pappenheimers used in Western Europe. Usually, it was decorated similarly to the Hussar armour – with trimmings and appliqué motifs of brass stamped with geometrical ornaments. There were a few variants of this helmet: with a tip on the top, a high crest, or fan-like wings on the skull (the latter was popular in the 1st half of the 18th century, during the Saxon’s reign).

Hussar helmet

This was one of my first attempts at creating a military based robot. I had so much fun creating this! 
My concept is a remote UAV, with it's purpose to assist front line troops with risk-free suppression in high action areas. It is powered by four large Lithium Ion batteries, and has interchangable magazines. It has two large, moveable barrels, and fires 9mm rounds from a high-cap magazine at roughly 900 RPM.  

As always, the model is available for download, but not for commercial  purpose!
