The paper explores the concept of letting surgical stuff train in a virtual operating setting.
This is one of several general ORs in the Charité Campus Mitte (CCM), scanned in 2018. Shot with Nikon D3400 (500 images), reconstructed in Metashape, refined in Blender.

This device, used in operating theatres in the 1870s and 1880s, filled the air with a pungent, yellow mist of an antiseptic called carbolic acid. British surgeon Joseph Lister invented it, hoping it would kill airborne bacteria, reducing the chance of infection during surgery.

This is all that remains today of the old Baltimore Traction Company cable car powerhouse on Druid Hill Ave. It was built to help transport passengers from "...Druid Hill Park to Patterson Park in 1891 using underground steel cables (similar to the system still operating in San Francisco today). The cables were powered by steam engines in nearby warehouses."

A floating market is a market where goods are sold from boats. Originating in times and places where water transport played an important role in daily life, most floating markets operating today mainly serve as tourist attractions, and are chiefly found in Thailand.

The West Side Market is the oldest operating market in Cleveland, beginning in 1840. The current building that houses the market was constructed in 1912, by Hubbell & Benes. It was added to the National Registry of Historic Places in 1973.

The StG 45(M) (abbreviation of Sturmgewehr 45, "assault rifle 45") sometimes referred to as the MP 45(M), was a prototype assault rifle developed by Mauser for the Wehrmacht at the end of World War II, using an innovative roller-delayed blowback operating system. It fired the 7.92×33mm Kurz (or "Pistolenpatrone 7.9mm") intermediate cartridge at a cyclic rate of around 450 rounds per minute.

StG 45(M) / Gerät 06H / MP 45(M)

*RNLB Jane Anne* is  an important survivor from Irvine's past, and a rare example of its type in Scotland. It's a double-ended, self-righting, pulling and sailing lifeboat, which was based at  the town's  RNLI station. It was manned mainly by the locally renowned Sinclair family and participated in seven rescues, saving  12 lives.

Built in 1898 by the Thomas Ironworks Co. in Millwall, London, *Jane Anne* began operating out of Irvine shortly afterwards and remained in use there until the station closed in 1914.
The boat's design meant it was open to the elements and relied entirely on the muscle power the crew who rowed it. The special construction of the hull, using diagonal cross planking, made it very strong with the enclosed ends providing buoyancy and ensuring that the crew is safe even in bad weather.


The model was created as a part of 'Scanning The Horizon' 3D Digitisation Project.

The CAF Urbos 100 is a modern low-floor light rail vehicle operating on Sydney’s L1 Inner West Light Rail between Central Grand Concourse and Dulwich Hill. Introduced into service in 2023, these five-module trams provide fully accessible boarding and increased capacity, supplementing the existing Urbos 3 fleet on the line.

Sydney L1 Inner West Light Rail Tram

The VinFast VF 3 is a compact, 2-door, 5-seater all-electric mini SUV designed for urban driving, featuring a modern, rugged, and boxy design with 16-inch wheels. It is powered by a battery offering a driving range of approximately 215 km (NEDC) and is highly suitable for daily city commuting due to its small footprint and low, or zero, operating costs.

Vinfast VF3 Plus 2026

The Boeing 787 Dreamliner is an American wide-body airliner developed and manufactured by Boeing Commercial Airplanes. After dropping its unconventional Sonic Cruiser project, Boeing announced the conventional 7E7 on January 29, 2003, which focused largely on efficiency. The program was launched on April 26, 2004, with an order for 50 aircraft from All Nippon Airways, targeting a 2008 introduction. On July 8, 2007, a prototype 787 without major operating systems was rolled out; subsequently the aircraft experienced multiple delays, until its maiden flight on December 15, 2009. Type certification was received in August 2011, and the first 787-8 was delivered in September 2011 and entered commercial service in October 2011, with ANA.

L/A Meriluoto is one of two ferries operating between Oulunsalo and Hailuoto in the northwestern Finland. She has been operating on the route for 30 years, starting from 1996 and ending in 2026 when the Hailuoto causeway will replace ferry traffic.

Measurements: length: 53.5 m, breadth: 12.3 m, draught: 4.2 m, capacity: approx. 45 cars.

I went with the detailing and color scheme of the ferry in the mid-2010s, since I think the current appearance isn't as visually interesting. Model based on photomatching, not blueprints. Modeling done in Sketchup and then moved into Blender at the last minute, so have fun cleaning up the probably incredible topology and whatnot. Sorry :)

Beyond manual 3D modeling: this is a raw mathematical discovery. 
This structure is a reconstructed topological element extracted from the infinite catalog of the Polytopic Archetypal Projection Protocol (PAPP).
The Pipeline: Operating in Discovery Mode, the algorithm processes a 4D integer seed through Continued Fractions and Pythagorean reductions. 
It constructs a quantized Fibonacci lattice on a 4D hypersphere ($S^3$), then projects the coordinates into our 3D observable space ($S^2$) via a rigorous Hopf fibration.
Structural Data:A Convex Hull algorithm solidifies the raw point cloud into this hyper-dense topological crystal.Vertices: 1,336 Lines (Edges): 64,147 Triangles (Faces): 125,622 With over 64k interconnecting lines for just 1,336 vertices, this object represents a highly saturated, maximally connected spatial phase. 
It is not art; it is materialized algebraic mechanics.
