The Douglas DC-3 is a fixed-wing propeller-driven airliner. Its cruise speed (207 mph or 333 km/h) and range (1,500 mi or 2,400 km) revolutionized air transport in the 1930s and 1940s. Its lasting effect on the airline industry and World War II makes it one of the most significant transport aircraft ever made. (source Wikipedia)

Gearbox (Propeller Turbine)

This is for the MasterpieceVR “Imagine And Create A Sustainable Future” competition.
This habitat is a Volaspire. It has four flying transportation pods capable of independent flight to transport small groups to the main tower. Once attached to the main tower the flight pods become propellers and the whole tower is capable of transporting over 200 passengers. The flying pods are ai controlled and have near perfect balance during flight.  When not in flight the propellers of each pod turn into large solar energy collectors and help charge the main tower. The main tower is equipped with wind turbines and solar cells. The docking station has over an acre of green space for growing food for passengers and creating organic material for four large scale 3d printers. The printers can run continuously to print new parts or replacement parts from 100% organic material grown on site. The Volaspire is an ancestor of the [geistspire](https://skfb.ly/6yEJX) of the kingdom biotronican.

Volaspire - Air Habitat/Transportation System

This is all that remains of *SS Rifle*, one of the earliest surviving examples of a small pre-fabricated screw steamer in the British Isles. *Rifle* was purchased by the Locheil Estate in the 1860s for use on Loch Arkaig, ferrying goods, passengers and mail between the isolated dwellings around the loch. 

As well as being a practical vessel, *Rifle* was also used for pleasure, often carrying shooting parties. 

The boat was laid-up in the 1930s, and whilst being scrapped, sank and lay buried until removed by the army after becoming a hazard to wartime vessels working from the pier. *Rifle* was blasted away from the pier, losing the bow in the process. 

Despite being submerged for over half a century, it was raised in 1990. Although in a very fragile condition, *Rifle's* propeller is a well-preserved example of an early design. 

The model was created as a part of ‘Scanning The Horizon’ 3D digitisation project.

Piper PA-28 Cherokee - General Aviation Aircraft

This model is a tribute to the failed prototypes from the early days of aviation.

In principle, its operation feels almost a bit fantastical. The main rotor spins clockwise during takeoff, and to land, it needs to spin counterclockwise. The nose rotor pushes the aircraft forward, much like the propeller on a traditional airplane.

He also has a trunk full of items collected over time from his younger days as an adventurer, the most prominent being the telephoto transporter, a camera that can change the size of whatever is photographed.
