The oaks (Quercus) are a genus of plants in the beech family (Fagaceae). In ancient religions, myths and legends, the oak was a sacred tree. All parts of the oak are slightly poisonous because of the tannins they contain. The fruits (acorns) are rich in carbohydrates and proteins and were used for fattening pigs.

Methyl-CpG-binding protein (MBD) is a family of epigenetic gene regulators. This model highlights the main features in chains A, C, and D. The main protein has been highlighted in red, while the short DNA helix has been highlighted in blue. Chain A is the MBD protein domain, while C and D are each strands of complimentary DNA. MBD proteins recognize methylated CpG sites in DNA and regulate transcription by recruiting chromatin-modifying complexes. Interactions occur at the major groove of the DNA and at the DNA backbone. studies found that MBD proteins are less dependent on sequences neighbouring the methylated CpG than previously thought (Liu et al, 2018).

This project showcases a complete product visualization set featuring a protein supplement container and shaker bottle, developed as part of a focused study in hard-surface modeling and UV mapping.

The “Primal Power” branding concept was developed to convey strength and intensity, with label elements integrated through texture mapping and material workflows. Special emphasis was placed on achieving believable material response, proper label placement, and consistent surface detailing across both models.

Both assets were fully modeled and UV unwrapped with attention to clean topology, efficient UV layout, and accurate real-world proportions. The goal was to create a cohesive product pair that reflects a strong brand identity while maintaining technical precision in asset creation.

HOXB13 is a homeodomain-containing transcription factor which normally regulates prostate cell development by controlling its gene expression via DNA binding. It is essential for prostate cell proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis to ensure the correct cell activity and function(Brechka et al. 2017). HOXB13 regulates gene expression via specific DNA sequences binding to its homeodomain (conserved DNA binding domain about 60 amino acids long) (Bürglin 2011). 
This model represents how HOXB13 binds to TCG containing DNA motif and the protein-DNA interactions including direct contacts as well as water-mediated interactions to  facilitate binding. Interestingly, HOXB13 can bind to different DNA sequences (TCG or CAA) using distinctive thermodynamic mechanisms either driven by enthalpy or entropy. In this tour, we are going to look at how HOXB13 interacts with a double stranded DNA that contains the TCG motif and how thermodynamics is going to play an important role!
