Here's a visualization of global winds and precipitations on September 1st, 2019 (when [Hurricane Dorian](https://tinyurl.com/y3jewqqt) was hovering over the Bahamas, off the coast of Florida).

* Created in Python (using Matplotlib, NetCDF4, Scipy and Numpy modules)
* Public wind and precipitation data from the [NCEP/NCAR Reanalysis](https://tinyurl.com/y6mfqr6f)
* Wind particles colored according to speed (using Matplotlib "inferno" colormap)
* Rain particles scattered according to the precipitation rate

The seamless-loop effect was achieved by periodically spawning the particles at their initial location on a time range greater than the animation, and subsampling this time range before export. This effect was further enhanced by fading each particle's color to black at their birth and death, and using the "Additive" opacity in Sketchfab material settings to hide black points.

A highway interchange scenery in New York, Little Dominican Republic made using Blender 3.3.2. 

This had been one of my older projects which I havent visted for a while, so I've dedicated some time refurbishing up this particular section for public use (yes I'm feeling extremely generous). The file size is pretty hefty so source files and textures are all included in a single folder - just be sure to extract zip file into a folder. 

Also quick side note, I haven't been able to find some time to finish the middle bridge (Alexander Hamilton Bridge) so maybe I can update that in the forseeable future.

The Sketchfab Model Inspector allows you to view the armature of any bones-driven animation  on Sketchfab. It also permits you to view the Bones weight, or the part of the model that is affected by a particular bone. To view the bones on the model above, just activate the Model Inspector (shortcut "I") and select "Bones". Alternately, you can press "6" on your number pad to view the bones, and press it again to view the bones weight. The statue of Edward Snowden, called by its creators Prison Ship Martyrs' Monument 2.0, was an ephemeral, illegally-installed public statue of Edward Snowden, an American whistleblower who leaked classified information from the National Security Agency (NSA) and was charged with federal crimes as a result. The bronze-like statue was placed in Fort Greene Park in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, New York City, on April 6, 2015. It was attached to a Doric column on the perimeter of the park's Prison Ship Martyrs' Monument, a memorial and which honors more than 11,500 American prisoners of war who died in the American Revolution.

The statue was mounted by three anonymous artists and their helpers, who were dressed in white helmets and reflective vests of Parks Department workers, early in the morning of April 6, then covered and taken down by NYC Parks officials later that day.

I am providing a public download to the model for the Hololive Community of fan-animators, fan-game creators, modders, etc. to create awesome stuff with!

I approve of anyone using the model to make animations, fan-games, port it to other programs, create mods, etc. As long as you a considerate and make sure it stays within Hololive [Fan Work Guidelines.](https://en.hololive.tv/terms)

Orbiter Space Shuttle OV-103 Discovery

The Gislinge boat was a 12th Century CE working boat found near the village of Gislinge, Denmark, in 1993. Dendrochronological dating puts its date of construction at around 1130 CE. It was probably used for fishing and goods transportation, and by the signs of wear and tear must have been 50 years old by the time it sank. This reconstruction is based off the Gislinge Boat Open Source Project by the Roskilde Viking Ship Museum (@vikingshipmuseum) , which can be accessed here: https://www.vikingeskibsmuseet.dk/en/professions/boatyard/building-projects/gislingeboat-2016

The project included the construction of various different experimental replicas based on the original find, and the publishing of all the plans so that other people around the world could build their own replica! In that spirit, I'm offering this model for free :) Enjoy, and check out the Viking Ship Museum's project website!

Gislinge Viking Boat

A by-product of working with the [OpenData repository of the city of Paris](https://opendata.paris.fr/explore/?sort=modified): here **public lights** (bottom layer, orange-ish) and **trees** (top layer, multicolor).

Both datasets have an information on the objects height, which were superimposed to a Digital Elevation Model of Paris, interpolated in python from [**SRTM** data](https://www2.jpl.nasa.gov/srtm/) (Z-scale overly exagerated). The lights were colored according to their light temperature (available in the dataset), while the 25 most common kinds of trees were colored by species.

The resulting point cloud gives pretty interesting patterns (some of which I've annotated), especially in cemeteries and on the biggest streets. Too bad most of the public parks don't have associated tree data...
