* In 2000, BMW redefined its super sports coupe, the M3 by placing a 3.2-liter DOHC inline-6 under its hood. Based on the E46 3 Series that underwent a full model change in 1998, the new M3 pumped out a fierce 338 HP at 7900 rpm and a hearty 269.0 lb-ft of torque at 4900. This meant that this amazing machine achieved more than 99 HP per liter when the six cylinder spun to its 7900-rpm redline. What really brought the motor to life was the M3's new gearbox. Initially, it came equipped with a Getrag 6-speed manual, but later BMW added the SMG II, the company's prize two-pedal (twin clutch) semi automatic transmission.

My biggest 3D scan to date! Located in downtown Baltimore, this sewage pumping station is perhaps the most beautiful public works building in the city.

"Designed by architect Henry Brauns and completed in 1912, the Eastern Avenue Pumping Station was the architectural crown jewel in the city’s ambitious plan to provide its citizens with modern-day sanitary sewage system. Baltimore’s topography dictated the location, essentially allowing gravity to transport wastewater created in downtown directly to the station...Today’s wastewater is pumped using modern electric pumps to its final destination at the Back River Wastewater Treatment Plan approximately six miles east of the station."

Colorfull Water well

A World War 2 auxiliary water pumping station at the end of the L-shaped pier by the Anchor & Hope pub, Charlton, London.

These pumping stations were used to pump water from the river into the mains water supply to provide extra supply when putting out fires in nearby areas such as the docks. This is one of the last to survive.

Charlton Auxiliary Pumping Station

Plaque from the 16th century with the depiction of the Dance of Death. The plaque cast in silver has 2 fastening pins on the back. 21x4 cm.

Between 1410 and 1425, a mural with originally 30 and today still 24 dancing couples was created in the abbey of La Chaise-Dieu. The Dance of Death is the representation of the influence and power of death that emerged in the 14th century. Death dances with everyone, whether king, knight, maid, clergyman or child.

Jahrhundert aufgekommene Darstellung des Einflusses und der Macht des Todes. Der Tod tanzt mit jeden, egal ob König, Ritter, Magd, Geistlichen oder Kind.
