Wanted to make use of the long rendering time for commissioned work, so I decided to upload my recent castle build.

This build project was originally just a gradient palette test using the quartz, bone, mushroom stem, and diorite block. Then I decided to make a castle using that palette, with the angular roof style similar to the Minas Morgul of the LotR series. I've added animated gates with soundeffects using command blocks, and custom monsters that spawns randomly in the castle.

Unfortunately had to change the design before uploading because Mineways doesn't export armorstands, shulker boxes, and custom textured player heads.

Built in Minecraft ver 1.11 using default texture. Map clean up with WorldEdit and MCEdit. Exported with Mineways (still getting misplaced blocks). Unwrapped uv in ZBrush. AO, light, and gradient map (for fake fog) baked in 3ds Max. Beacon light beam and snow particles added in 3ds Max.

After many weeks of work Rose is finally ready to be released and downloaded! Of course wanting some fun i went ahead and also worked on a "**Small**" lovely place from the show called the Strawberry Battlefield.

3D scan of a statue representing the metal “Gold”. An androgynous figure rises from the gold-bearing quartz crystal at the base of the caryatid. It presents a crown and a necklace with a pendant on a ceremonial cushion. Gold is thus depicted as the ‘King of Metals’ and a symbol of supreme worldly power.

The figure was created by Rudolf Weyr (1847-1914) and is part of the decorative program in Hall IV of the Natural History Museum.

3D scan of a man that personifies quartz as a powerful mountain spirit rising directly from a cluster of sharp-edged crystal druses. In the tradition of romantic mythical figures such as Rübezahl, the bearded figure appears as an archaic guardian, inextricably linked to the mineral treasures of the underworld.

Silicified wood (NHMW-GEO-2024-0188-11590)

Finely worked anthropomorphic figurine carved from quartz. The head, exhibiting clear Olmec traits, appears not to correspond to the body, whose standing pose with hands joined at the front is highly atypical. Even the color of the stone and its degree of transparency differ between the two parts. The figure wears a garment resembling a long robe tied at the waist with a cord. The Cultural Property Registry classifies this piece as originating from the Highlands and dating to the Classic period; however, if only the head (apparently genuine) is considered, it would likely date to a much earlier time.

The object shown represents a blade core made of radiolarite. The core was used as a source of raw material for the manufacture of precision cutting tools such as knives, drills and arrowheads. The artefact consists of a mixture of hard-fired clay containing small amounts of quartz. The outer colour ranges from light brown to black, while the fracture has a brick-red to grey colour. It is composed of pieces of clay of varying sizes. The surface has been carelessly smoothed. The body has a flat to wavy structure, with the upper side having a contrasting and slightly curved texture. The perforation is slightly off-centre and is in a vertical position. Ten shallow, irregular impressions can be found radially around the perforation on the upper side of the artefact.
