Rivet from Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart (light)

Free 8K model: rigged, realistic chrome ratchet wrench with scuffed, oily metal, worn edges, and detailed head and handle geometry.

My tribute to a wonderful novel series by Terry Pratchett, placed on a fictional "Discworld". I had the most fun through the creation process.

My goal was to also create cities and landmarks on the world, but while adding more content I found it rather messy and distracting, so I had to cut a bit. This is a total reconstruction. I've used this map as a refference:

Discworld

This is an unused ship model from Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, preserved and presented to reflect how it appeared during the 2016 game. Because the asset was never finalized for use in-game, all UVs were originally packed into a single corner of the texture space, even though the UV layout itself was already complete. 

For this restoration, the original UVs were repositioned and laid out correctly, without rebuilding or altering them in any way. The intent was strictly to restore usability and accuracy while preserving the original developer-made UV structure.

No redesigns or reinterpretations were made. The only addition beyond correcting the UV layout is the inclusion of light maps, added to help the model respond properly to lighting and better represent how a finished in-game asset would have appeared.

This is a faithful preservation pass on an unused Rift Apart development asset, focused on accuracy, restraint, and respect for the original work.

Ratchet Ship – Into the Nexus (Restored)

the ship interior was completely black in the original assets which is why it was never visible in-game. I made the glass transparent and restored the interior to reflect how it was likely meant to look

Nexus Aphelion (Remastered / HD)

Ratchet model using the Future saga pilot suit, reworked to fit the Into the Nexus model proportions.

The outfit was not simply transferred — it required reshaping and adjustment to conform to the newer model while preserving the original design.

This was a fun challenge and I’m happy with the final result.

updated with significantly improved textures while staying faithful to the original design. I also plan to revisit some of my older models over time with these newer textures.
Interestingly, after getting my hands on the actual model, I discovered the face is still using the older Tools of Destruction UV/layout, while the ears and tail use the newer UVs and textures. I honestly wonder why they chose to do it this way, especially considering the newer texture already contains the face on the atlas as well — the layouts are just different.

The PlayStation All-Stars armor model was originally posed differently from the Future Saga Ratchet models. The character stood with slightly bent knees and a forward lean, which prevented it from aligning correctly with the Future-era neutral stance.

To correct this, the mesh was manually adjusted rather than relying on the original armature, which produced poor deformation. Using symmetrical sculpting, the model’s posture was gradually refined until the knees, torso, and overall stance matched the Future Saga base pose.

Additional manual adjustments were also required to align the fingers so that the hands match the orientation expected by the Future Saga rigs.

As a result, the model’s proportions and neutral pose now closely match those used by the Future Saga characters. In theory, this means the Future Saga armature and animations should be compatible with the model. However, the model is currently released without an armature; a Future Saga rig may be applied later when I have time.

Tetrafiber Armor P.S.A.S

This is the Quest for Booty armor as it appeared in All 4 One, originally sculpted with only one side properly aligned to the new art style. The other side was left unfinished, resulting in asymmetry. I’ve fully restored the model and reworked it in the Nexus art style, refining proportions for a more balanced, mainline look while staying true to the updated design language.

Phineas T. Ratchet, the big bad in the Robots movie game.

I decided to upload him because his last name is literally the same as the main Lombax in a certain game series!
