Wanted to make use of the long rendering time for commissioned work, so I decided to upload my recent castle build.

This build project was originally just a gradient palette test using the quartz, bone, mushroom stem, and diorite block. Then I decided to make a castle using that palette, with the angular roof style similar to the Minas Morgul of the LotR series. I've added animated gates with soundeffects using command blocks, and custom monsters that spawns randomly in the castle.

Unfortunately had to change the design before uploading because Mineways doesn't export armorstands, shulker boxes, and custom textured player heads.

Built in Minecraft ver 1.11 using default texture. Map clean up with WorldEdit and MCEdit. Exported with Mineways (still getting misplaced blocks). Unwrapped uv in ZBrush. AO, light, and gradient map (for fake fog) baked in 3ds Max. Beacon light beam and snow particles added in 3ds Max.

According to legend the arm of Royal Secretary Olof Sverkersson Elfkarl, in office during the reign of Swedish kings [Johan III](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_III_of_Sweden), [Sigismund](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sigismund_III_Vasa) and [Karl IX](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_IX_of_Sweden).

Olof Sverkersson was called Olof Turncoat in many parts of the country and in [Finland](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finland) (which was a part of [Sweden](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sweden) at that time) they called him Olof Perkelson, i.e. Olof Son of the Devil.

The arm was included in the [Skokloster](https://goo.gl/Mspd5w) collection in the 1750’s when a substantial amount of objects were transferred from Salsta manor, previously owned by the [Bielke](https://goo.gl/F78x9L) family, to Skokloster. The arm had been in the Bielke armoury “since time immemorial”.

Iron Hand - Prosthetic Arm

This model was made for a college assignement in which a product had to be developed that could benefit people. I chose to create this arm as I belived it to be a feasable piece of technology that could realistically be developed in the near future. Initial ideas such as teleporters and hoover boots were considered to be too unrealsitic. Inspiration for this model came from YouTube and Instagram accounts featuring similar 3D work along with informative videos on the use and function of exisitng prosthetic arms. I wanted to create an arm that maintained the familair human form of an arm with full motions such as an adjustable elbow and five finger movements.

Modelled and animated in Blender.
Textured and baked in Substance Painter.
Set to accurate scale.
Ready for use in a game/animation scene.

This prosthetic arm was made in 1904 for a professional pianist – a woman called Elizabeth Burton. The prosthetic arm had padded fingers and a wide span, features that enabled her to keep playing the piano, so that she could still make a living for her family.

Artificial Arm

Due to non-typical placement of collectors which are shifted to one side, a simple bathroom radiator gains a new character. Despite the asymmetry the radiator form is visually stable and well-balanced. Large spacings between groups of profiles as well as its quite substantial wattage make this radiator a perfect dryer.

Dzięki nietypowemu, jednostronnemu umiejscowieniu kolektorów, prosty łazienkowy grzejnik nabiera zupełnie nowego wyrazu. Pomimo asymetrycznej konstrukcji bryła pozostaje wizualnie stabilna i wyważona. Duże przestrzenie pomiędzy grupami profili oraz całkiem spora moc grzewcza umożliwiają swobodne korzystanie z grzejnika jako suszarki.

This is an feeding animation of a subadult male Manta Ray (“Skye” Mobula c.f. birostris, disk width of 2.5 m) that was reconstructed from a combination of drone, gopro, and other video imagery and morphometric data.  Note the twisting of the cephalic fins, which are used during feeding. Skye was filmed primarily while swimming off the coast of Palm beach, Florida.  Jessica Pate and her team with the Marine Megafauna Foundation (www.marinemegafauna.org) were instrumental for filming Skye and providing access to other data on Manta Rays.  The ANGARI Foundation (www.angari.org) and Angela Rosenberg coordinated and supported this research.  Jonathan Bayuk and Ken Morton kindly donated funding to enable this research.  CG artist Johnson Martin used the data provided to reconstruct and animate the model.

Model 84A - Manta Ray Feeding

Manta Birostris is the largest type of ray in the world, they feed on plankton and  can grow to a disc size of up to 9 meters. I created this model for a ROV simulation application (Remotely Operated Vehicule, used for deep sea exploration) made by Interactive System Studio. This application allows you to control a ROV and explore the sea. The manta ray is animated, follows a path on the scene and avoids the ROV if it comes too close.

This 3D model is a composite of images from an adult American eel (Anguilla rostrata) housed at the Maymont Nature Center (https://maymont.org/animals/nature-center/), and a scan from a preserved American eel from the Natural History Collection at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst (https://bcrc.bio.umass.edu/nhc/home).

CG artists Jer Bot, Johnson Martin and Robert Gutierrez used Blender to reconstruct the full fish from these scans and images, as well as animate the movements. Thanks to the Maymont Nature Center, the Richard Lewis Media Group (http://rlmg.com/), and the Natural History Collection for facilitating the work.
