Someone in my family owns this beauuuutiful house in Provence. My family and I were lucky enough to stay there this summer. The sound of cicadas was constant during the day, and 2 donkeys (!) kept us company, walking around the property. The house is surrounded by fields of lavender, and old villages. Does this sound dreamy? It was.

Scanned in a few minutes, with an ASUS ZenFone AR phone featuring the full Google Tango hardware / software stack (depth sensor, etc.) and Google's own Constructor 3D scanning app.

Low Poly Car - Chevrolet C10 Pickup 1963. 

C/K is a series of trucks that was manufactured by General Motors from the 1960 to 2002 model years. Marketed by both the Chevrolet and GMC divisions, the C/K series encompassed a wide range of vehicles. While most commonly associated with pickup trucks, the model line also included chassis-cab trucks and medium-duty trucks and served as the basis for GM full-size SUVs. Through its entire production, the model line competed directly against the Ford F-Series and the Dodge D series (later the Dodge Ram pickup).

Used for both the model branding and the internal model code, "C" denoted two-wheel drive; "K" denoted four-wheel drive. Four generations of the model line were produced, including the second-generation "Action Line" and third-generation "Rounded Line" vehicles. For the fourth generation, GMC revised its branding, changing to a singular GMC Sierra nameplate (C/K remained as an internal model code).

The Temple at Évora is a unique example of roman religious architecture, and was wrongly described as being built to honor the goddess Diana. It rather was constructed to honor the figure of the emperor. This structure dates from the late 1st century to the early 2nd century A.D., and it was part of a larger complex that included a forum, a public square with a basilica on the opposite side, and it was surrounded by a colonnade. The temple as seen today dates back to the second half of the 19th century, when, under the direction of the cenographer Cinnati, all non-roman elements were removed. The example at Évora has been recognized as having similarities to the Maison Carrée in Nimes (France), given its scale and overall architecture.

The S14 Silvia debuted in Japan towards the end of 1993. It was lower and wider than the S13. New rounded styling contributed to the illusion of a greater increase in size than actually occurred. Wheelbase and track were both increased, leading to slightly improved handling. Unlike export markets, where sales of the S14 chassis variants faltered, the Silvia remained popular in Japan. However, the width dimension exceeded 1,700 mm (67 in), which pushed this generation out of the compact class tax bracket and made Japanese buyers liable for higher road taxes. Sales of the S14 also faltered because specialty car buyers at the time were moving to RVs and SUVs. The fastback and convertible bodystyles were discontinued internationally, leaving only the coupé in production.

*Strix varia*, or the barred owl, can be commonly found in dense forests and wooded swamps in southwestern Canada, Washington, Oregon and northern California. The barred owl is, on average 48-51 cm tall, and has a rounded-head with grey-white facial disc. Where many owls have ear tufts, the barred owl does not.

The small serrations on an owl’s primary feathers creates small vortices reducing noise from wind drag to near zero. The silent flight of owls inspired the biomimetic solution to wind noise caused by the Shinkansen Bullet Train as it travels near 350km/h. These serrations also inspired the redesign of  Ziehl-Abegg, Inc’s fan blades, reducing noise and improving energy efficiency. Hollow cylinder
For those who just want a medium cylinder that has no padding, because I searched for several sites and I didn't find one like that.
Most had padding, or rounded edges, and what most resembled it was a wedding ring and that was not what I needed.

This was originally the work for my intro to 3D modeling and lighting courses this past semester, but with how things have been going with Covid-19 I wanted to express myself with this scene. Many artist are staying safe and working from home, myself included, but this can lead to feeling disconnected. I wanted to push this disconnect further in the scene by visually breaking away the room that is surrounded by the void. 

This scene is showing where artists sometimes end up, but the message is that we don't have to be "stuck" in this vast loneliness that we are all experiencing. There is always a brighter side, whether it be the family you have with you, or some funny cat videos on youtube. I hope everyone is staying healthy and safe, keep looking to the bright side.

Isolation

The central part of the film set was the "New Tower of Babel", which is surrounded by street canyons with highrise buildings as far as the eye can see. Retrospectively, the film is regarded as one of the great achivements of the silent movie era, influencing many later science fiction films and related artwork.

Hore Abbey is a ruined Cistercian monastery near the Rock of Cashel, County Tipperary, Ireland. It was founded by the Benedictine order in 1266. This model includes both the exterior and interior spaces, generated using a combination of aerial and ground photography (1500 images total). 

Most of the abbey was built in the thirteenth century, however many changes were made to the buildings in the fifteenth century including the addition of the tower in the centre of the transept. The cruciform church comprised, in addition to the chancel, a nave with aisles and two chapels to the east of each transept. The nave is exceptionally plain and the overall design is a perfect example of the conservative approach of the Cistercians. Hore was the only Cistercian monastery in Ireland where the cloister was positioned to the north of the abbey.  The ruins are now surrounded by fields of sheep and cattle and can be accessed by the public.

Rounded Cube

An alarming crossing sign wakes you up. Having no recollection of where you are or how you got here, you feel confused. An empty train station surrounded by a calm ocean as far as the eye can see. In the distance a red box gradually increases in size. You make it out to be a train riding on top of the water as it gets closer. Once it neared the station, the train comes to a complete stop at the platform's edge, letting out a bellowing whistle of steam. The doors unlatch and invitingly open themselves. You patiently wait for people to get off, but realize that there are no passengers onboard. Something in your head urges you to step into the train. Do you choose to part take on this journey?

It was built to commemorate the Tokyo Olympics (1964). There are five statues in the fountain, with Benzaiten (Goddess of Mercy) in the center, surrounded by four statues from the East: Horyu-ji Temple's Baekje Kannon , the West: ancient Greek female statues, the Classics: Western female nudes, and the Modern: Southeast Asian dancing girls.

San Pietro is a Romanesque and Gothic-style, Roman Catholic church just outside Tuscania, province of Viterbo, region of Lazio, Italy.

The façade has a large rose window, decked with mosaics, hedged at the corners by the symbols of the four evangelists, and flanked by reliefs with elaborate carvings of plants, menagerie of animals, and a complex iconography of saints and figures of the old testament.
Below is a loggietta and on the ground is a sculpted main portal with a large rounded arch. The nave is flanked by rounded Romanesque arches and leads to a presbytery with a Ciborium for main altar. The presbytery has a geometric mosaic floor. The crypt has gothic tracery.
