**Location**
Rhyolite is a ghost town in Nye County, in the U.S. state of Nevada. It is in the Bullfrog Hills, about 120 miles (190 km) northwest of Las Vegas, near the eastern edge of Death Valley. The town began in early 1905 as one of several mining camps that sprang up after a prospecting discovery in the surrounding hills. During an ensuing gold rush, thousands of gold-seekers, developers, miners and service providers flocked to the Bullfrog Mining District. Inspired by a best 1967 Taiwanese film, "Dragon Gate Inn". The whole plot is a variant of "a guy walks into a bar". As a sandstorm threatens and drives most travellers away, a few groups driven by different agendas are determined to stay in the desert at the famous Dragons Gate Inn. Amidst rumors of an ancient city and with Zhao Huai'an and the leader of the West Bureau approaching, events are about to unfold with the Dragons Gate Inn as the stage for an all out clash.

Dragon Gate Inn with Neon

The Lion of Aspern is a war memorial created by Anton Dominik Fernkorn, which was erected in 1858 at Asperner Heldenplatz (today a district of Vienna). The sculpture is made of sandstone and commemorates the Austrian soldiers who died in the battle of Aspern.

Fernkorn created a larger-than-life sculpture of a lying, dying lion on a stone base with an oak leaf garland on a stone foundation. Between the front paws is a Napoleonic eagle, under the body an emperor's cloak, and on the left side of the body are field signs. The lion is pierced by a lance whose tip protrudes behind the left shoulder blade of the animal below the mane.

This modern style building was created with the need for a building to be set up in Unreal Engine (or any game engine). It can easily be used in a game, an Arch Viz scene or animation.

It was built to be versatile, so can be used as a art gallery, office, museum or modern home etc...

Many of the Arch Viz style buildings (free or paid for) you can download online are made with sketchup or Revit, these are excellent tools, but when the models are exported they can be split into hundreds or thousands of pieces which is not always practical for a game engine. And whilst they can be joined together again, I created this modern building that is low poly, has 4 material slots, and easy to set up in a games engine.

The ancient city diorama

Cuween Hill Chambered Cairn, near Finstown, Mainland, Orkney, is a late Neolithic (c.3200-2300 BC) 'Maes Howe'-type tomb.  The tomb is located on the side of the hill and the floor is cut into sandstone bedrock.  The chambers are constructed from fine dry-stone walling with corbelled roofs.  The mound measures c.55 feet in diameter and the main chamber is 8 feet 6 inches tall.

The tomb was partly excavated by James Cursiter in 1888 and more extensively investigated by Malcolm M. Charleston in 1901.  The tomb contained at least 8 burials and the skulls of 24 dogs.  The latter may have been a totemic animal, but they were probably deposited in the Bronze Age rather than the Neolithic.  The tomb sites above the Neolithic settlement site of Stonehall, which was excavated by Prof Colin Richards in the 1990s.

The Lion Monument (Löwendenkmal) is located in [Lucerne, Switzerland](http://www.luzern.com/en/lion-monument).

The monument commemorates the Swiss Guards who were massacred in 1792 during the French Revolution, when revolutionaries stormed the Tuileries Palace in Paris, France.

The sculpture was designed by Danish sculptor Bertel Thorvaldsen, and finally hewn in 1820–1821 by Lukas Ahorn, in a former sandstone quarry near Lucerne.

The house of the Mermaid (seat of the association of the Friends of Collonges): it has a red sandstone lauzes roof, a vaulted porch, a window with brace which overhangs a gothic door on the right of which a carved siren holds a comb and a mirror. It dates from the sixteenth century. It is classified as a historical monument in 1949.

Female figure made of sandstone with long hair and cape. The head is lowered, a flower in the left hand, the right raised to the face. The statue is part of the war memorial erected in 1924 at the Hollabrunn cemetery. The artist was Theodor von Charlemont.
