Salt and pepper is the common name for edible salt and black pepper, which are traditionally paired on dining tables where European-style food is eaten so as to allow for the seasoning of food. They may be considered condiments or seasonings; salt is a mineral and black pepper is a spice.

The pairing of salt and pepper as table accessories dates to seventeenth-century French cuisine, which considered pepper (distinct from herbs such as fines herbes) the only spice that did not overpower the true taste of food. They are typically found in a set of salt and pepper shakers, often a matched set. Salt and pepper are typically maintained in separate shakers on the table, but may be mixed in the kitchen. Some food writers, like Sara Dickerman, have argued that in modern cookery, a new spice could be used in place of black pepper.

**Fish-shaped besamin box**

Besamin boxes [Heb. bassamim, psumin-byksy] served as containers for spices and were used during the end of the Sabbath and were usually tower-shaped. Interestingly, the besamin box from Nowy Sącz is fish-shaped, whose head, connected to a trunk by a hinge, can be opened and tilted to the side. The fish trunk consists of five overlapping segments, each tapering towards the tail fin, each ending with semi-circular scales, each textured and covered in a network of furrows. The individual segments of the trunk are mutually conjoined in such a way that the body of the fish can be slightly bent.

Though there are inscriptions dating to the 1160s, the main church was built in 1215 under the auspices of the brothers Zakare and Ivane (of the Zakarid-Mkhargrzeli family), the generals of Queen Tamar of Georgia, who took back most of Armenia from the Turks. The southern facade of the Katoghike has a portal with fine carvings. The tympanum is decorated with a representation of trees with pomegranates hanging from their branches, and of leaves intertwining with grapes. The pictures of doves are placed between the arch and the outside frame; the doves’ heads are turned to the axis of the portal. Limestone panel commissioned by ruler Taj Chan Ahk “Torch-Sky-Turtle” in 799 AD. It has 160 hieroglyphic blocks sculpted in high relief, organized in eight double columns. It corresponds to the second part of an extensive text written on another panel, now missing. The first event mentioned in this monument took place in the year 652 “in the company of Yukno'om Che'en of Calakmul.” At that time Cancuén was already subordinate to Calakmul.  The text also refers to the enthronement of the new ruler of Cancuén, K'ib Ahaw, in the year 656, explicitly mentioning that he received his royal insignia from the hand of Yukno'om Che'en himself. The final passages of the panel record another ascension at Cancuén under the auspices of Yuknoom Ch'e'n (that of Taj Chan Ahk).

Coorta was a miner at the Peragus Mining Facility in 3951 BBY, known for smuggling blasters, spice, and grenades. Seeking profit, he planned to sell the exiled Jedi Meetra Surik to the Exchange, which offered a bounty on Jedi. Surik had arrived unconscious aboard the Ebon Hawk, brought by T3-M4, along with a hidden HK-50 assassin droid posing as a maintenance officer.

learning Surik’s identity, Coorta conspired with other miners to capture and sell her, despite opposition from Foreman Sien and intervention by the Administration Officer, who tried contacting the Republic to send Surik to Telos IV. HK-50 manipulated Coorta, promising help while plotting to eliminate witnesses. Using the maintenance officer’s voice, the droid ordered mining droids to attack, triggered explosions, locked down the facility, and sabotaged ventilation, flooding dormitories with toxic fumes.

HK-50 betrayed Coorta, reversed turbolift codes, and ordered mining droids to kill him and his fellow conspirators.
