In ancient Greek mythology Ethiopian princess Andromeda was bound to a rock amid the waves of the Red sea. Why? Her mother, Cassiopeia boasted that Andromeda is far more beautifull then all the nymphs of the sea! This angered the god Poseidon who sent a monster creature, Cetus (Ketos) to torment people of ancient Ethiopia. The princess was to be eaten by a sea moster to soothe the anger of the god! In the very last moment a hero - Perseus flew (on Hermes winged sandals) and saved the princess from the vile beast.

When researching Andromeda, I could only find white, pale damsels in distress. Angered by this I wanted to depict Andromeda as a true African princess. I disliked the concept of a helpless damsel and decided to give her some character. I also wanted to portray Ketos as a bewildered sea dragon not an angry whale.

The 45-square-meter American-style apartment centers on cozy practicality, blending classic elements with modern design. An open layout breaks spatial constraints, while the integrated living-dining-kitchen area enhances a sense of spaciousness, complemented by natural tones like soft grays and creamy whites to create a comfortable ambiance. Solid wood furniture and linen/cotton textiles convey rustic charm, with accents like wrought iron pendant lights and vintage-inspired artwork adding nostalgic American flair. Creepy Doll [Seamstress]

The Lotus 49 was a Formula One racing car designed by Colin Chapman and Maurice Philippe for the 1967 F1 season. It was designed around the Cosworth DFV engine that would power most of the Formula One grid through the 1970s. It was one of the first F1 cars to use a stressed member engine combined with a monocoque to reduce weight, with other teams adopting the concept after its success. It also pioneered the use of aerofoils to generate downforce.

Professor Yuan’s distinguished life’s work has caused many to call him the “Father of Hybrid Rice,” while his continuing research offers even more promise for world food security and adequate nutrition for the world’s poor.

Around 1750, the estate belonged to Johann Josef Count Khevenhüller. In 1762, Fabius Ricci ran a cloth shearing business there, which is why it became known as the “Riccian estate”. After several changes of ownership, Johann Heinrich Geymüller acquired the castle in 1797, had it renovated, extended it to include a Meierhof and bought the Pötzleinsdorf estate in 1802.

Some buildings from this period have been preserved, including the temple, also known as Preindl-Salettl - named after Maria Preindl, Geymüller's mistress. Writer Salomon Mosenthal (1821-1877) used it as a place to work during his summer stays in Pötzleinsdorf. The palace and park were once an important center of cultural and social life.

In Thorvaldsen’s work, Alexander the Great is mainly associated with the  so-called Alexander Frieze from 1812. What is portrayed here is a rather different aspect of Alexander’s personality: In the Alexander Frieze, Alexander arrives at Babylon as a peace-loving hero - indeed, as a god. In this relief, Alexander is drunk, and is allowing himself to be tempted by his mistress to carry out a terrible deed, namely, to set fire to the Persians’ capital city, Persepolis. Among the other figures, we can see Alexander’s friend Parmenio, who is attempting to restrain him; while on the far left a Persian can be seen leaving in despair.

Already in the 18th century this famous sculpture was known by various nicknames, the best known of which was L'Amour Menaçant, ‘menacing love’. The threat is most evident in the Cupid’s knowing gaze, while the gesture he makes invokes us to secrecy. The statue was made for Madame de Pompadour, King Louis XV’s art-loving mistress.

Pteranodon is an ambient pterosaur in Carnivores 2, Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter, Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter HD, Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter Reborn, and Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunt. It is a relatively common animal, flying above the hunter and screeching.

Pteranodon is a massive flying reptile known as a pterosaur – not a dinosaur, but a close relative. Pteranodon's wing-span is also longer and larger than that of any known living bird. Despite the its enormous qualities, the animal is quite skittish, often vocalizing its distress when the player is near. Pteranodon has a long head crest that is probably used to help counter and balance the weight of its massive beak, which it used to capture fish and other aquatic animals.

Pteranodon (from the Greek πτερ- "wing" and αν-οδων "toothless"), is an extinct genus of pteranodontid pterosaur, which existed during the Late Cretaceous period in North America.
