A huge rock, with a very weathered surface.  Towards the top of this rock, there is a concentration of incised rock art.  Less than 20% of the rock art in Valcamonica is incised or engraved (graffiti-type rock art), the majority being produced by percussion, or pecking.  

Graffiti-type rock art is of two types, determined by its method of production. One type is produced by abrading the lines, know as the polissoir method; the other, represented here is by engraving, to produce filiform rock art.  Filiform because the resulting lines resemble thin wire, rather than the thicker grooves made by the polissoir method.

On this part of Rock 1, towards the right in the 3D model,  there is a group of incised axe heads.  To the left there is a further grouping of geometrical shapes, predominately rectangles, also triangles and house-like shapes - common themes in Western European filiform rock art. Many of these figures have internal decoration.

The Simon and Mouchel grain silos were built by National Grain Silo Ltd at Kennedy Quay in Cork. The rectangler part(Simon) was built in 10 days in 1964 and the long part(Mouchel) in 1971 both were demolished in 2013. The Simon when it was built was said to be 165ft tall and the bins were said to be 135ft but measurements from images show that it could not be case because of the diameter of the bins were 30ft.

Plate with divergent walls and a flat base, decorated with black designs on a cream background. The interior features, at the center, the image of the God K’awil’s profile within a black rectangle. Surrounding this is a decorative band with a series of K’an symbols. The inner wall is organized into six panels: three decorated with profiles of the God K’awil on a black background, and three with two nominal glyphs each, arranged in an alternating pattern. The exterior wall presents the Primary Standard Sequence, or Dedication Formula, painted in black ink on a cream background and framed by two horizontal red bands. The vessel and its decoration are original, although some sections were heavily repainted during the 1970s.

Polychrome jar (red, black, white, and brown on a light orange slip) with a globular body and a short, vertical neck. The vessel is decorated with horizontal bands beginning at the neck, which is painted red. From this point, the decorative bands alternate: two additional red-painted bands (with elements that may represent a modified K’in symbol painted in white) and two celestial bands. Each band is separated by narrower horizontal black bands featuring short white rectangles at regular intervals. The final decorative band, near the base, consists of three rows of disks in a yellowish or light brown tone.

Polychrome Ulúa-style vessel, decorated with a supernatural scene featuring two seated anthropomorphic figures with red-painted bodies and tall headdresses. Crescent-shaped temple ring. This is a piece of jewelry that hangs from a headdress or from the front of the hair braids on the side of the head. The right hook is bent sharply forward and the crescent-shaped pendant is slightly damaged at the edges. The decoration is partly executed in tremolo stitch. It is possible that the main motif represents a highly abstracted face. On the back is a rectangle applied using the same technique.

This object was digitized through the ‘Kulturerbe digital’ program of the Federal Ministry for Arts, Culture, Public Service and Sport.

Temple Ring

This is My final assignment for the game graphics course at DAE Howest.
Got greatly inspired by the tower of the movie tangled, like so i wanted to go quit simple on the textures, to get a nice clean but still old looking building.

First time using post processing in depth  on sketchfab, and got to say, im in love with it :)

Theater-Type incense burner from the Pacific Coast of Guatemala, dating to the Early Classic period (150/200–650 AD). It features a pedestal base and decorated lid depicting a warrior who wears a large butterfly-shaped nose ornament. His headdress bears a central supernatural butterfly surrounded by smaller ones, and the lower frame includes three glyphs bordered by fringes or feathers. The warrior holds side panels evoking atl-tlachinolli (“water-fire”), symbol of ritual conflict, while the lower rectangle displays three detailed representations of the Teotihuacan “reptilian eye”.
