Drosera capensis, the Cape sundew, is a perennial rosette-forming carnivorous herb in the flowering plant family Droseraceae. It is native to the Cape region of South Africa, where it grows in permanently wet, nutrient-poor habitats. Leaves are covered in stalked glands that secrete sticky mucilage. These attract, trap, and digest arthropod prey, obtaining nutrients that supplement intake from the substrate in which the plant grows. The plant is an autotroph that produces its own food in the green leaves by photosynthesis. The nutrients (like minerals N, P, Na, Ca etc)  absorbed from insects are not  plant food but essential miconutrients are used in the production of amino acids, necleotides  which are required for growth.

The Moon is the only natural satellite of Earth. It orbits around Earth at an average distance of 384,399 kilometres (238,854 mi),[f] a distance roughly 30 times the width of Earth. It completes an orbit (lunar month) in relation to Earth and the Sun (synodically) every 29.5 days. The Moon and Earth are bound by gravitational attraction, which is stronger on the sides facing each other. The resulting tidal forces are the main driver of Earth's tides, and have pulled the Moon to always face Earth with the same near side. This tidal locking effectively synchronizes the Moon's rotation period (lunar day) to its orbital period (lunar month).

The photogrammetric survey was undertake after Spring tides has removed the overburden of windblow sand. In contrast to the survey undertaken on 14 November 2022, where an overburden of sand is evident. The wreck is that of the Francis Beddoe, a wooden ketch of 250 tons built at Saundersfoot in 1872  - it was the last vessel from the yard of Francis Beddoe on Railway Street (now The Strand). Wreck of the Francis Beddoe 3 April 2021

The male version of the Cerulean Tidestrike outfit from Genshin Impact’s Miliastra Wonderland. Not rigged. For anybody interested in finding it in their own asset map, it’s file name is s0098. Feel free to use it.

Cerulean Tidestrike - Manekin

These were the most intimidating out of them all. As you can guess, yes, I sculpted the muscles on the arms. Hence why they’re last. I wanted to wait until I got these done until I uploaded the other two. I also did use blades from GreyTideStudios for both these and the Rosethorns, their Crimson Lords set, which was perfect for these ladies. You can also guess that the parentheses refers to the weapon they’re using. These women are heavy hitters, monster hunters. They’re prideful, kinda arrogant, but muscled up, and they don’t take kindly to having their boobs cut. I wanted to go for more dramatic fighting poses for them to make them stand out against the others. I also really like the rich reds I gave them. They’re just so pretty to look at. I also painted abs on them because why not? They’re strong, dominant, powerful, and take no chances. I decided to go for a technique for painting the eyes to give the look of mascara. I was scared to do these for a long time but I’m glad I did it.

St Beuno's Church dominates the village of Clynnog with it's cathedral like proportions. Definitely worth a visit with a history of a monastic settlement dating back to around the 7th century. 

But in the churchyard is this sundial from the 10th -12th century. Not to be confused with a mass clock, it divides the half day of 12 hours into four three hour tides, a system used by the Saxon and Norse settlers probably from Ireland. Clynnog was raided by Hiberno-Norse vikings in 978.

The church has a history too big to cover here. The sundial was found in the 19th century being used as a footbridge across a mill stream and put in the churchyard where it is believed to have come from in 1930

This sculpture balances raw strength with quiet exhaustion. Carved from cold marble the figure sits loosely on a jagged rock as if worn down by the tides of time a sea born titan caught in a rare moment of stillness.
