White Dwarf Star: A Stars Child

Anthropomorphic whistle in the shape of a standing Maya warrior. The posture suggests a firm stance of authority or readiness for combat. He wears a loincloth with a decorated belt and an elaborate turban composed of elements evoking textiles, crowned by a feline mask or face at the top. The arms and shoulders are adorned with ribbons and ropes. Across the chest, he wears a necklace with plaques, followed by another necklace made of large rings from which a trophy head appears to hang. The head is suspended upside down, resembling a ceremonial pectoral, and from it hang four long fringed ribbons that may artistically represent the victim’s hair. The hollow structure of the piece and the blowing mouthpiece located on the back indicate its sound-producing function.

Mayan warrior with trophy head pectoral

This asset represents the skull of a massive unknown creature, presented as a relic or trophy. The design combines exaggerated anatomy and stylized proportions, inspired by dark fantasy worlds and Berserk-like creatures. The goal was to create a strong silhouette that feels ancient, dangerous, and believable within a game environment.

I took references from Pinterest and modeled them in Maya. After creating the 3D models, I rendered them and painted the textures in Photoshop. Then I applied the textures to the models using Lambert materials in Maya. Finally, I uploaded the models to Sketchfab and adjusted the presentation there.

T20 World cup trophy

Effigy vessel with lid in the form of a elderly figure. The vessel corresponds to the waist and lower limbs, and the lid forms the upper part of the body. The figure appears to carry on its back an effigy vessel with a human figure, possibly intended as a container for beverage. The figure’s face shows wrinkles, a slightly open mouth revealing few teeth, and a short beard. The arms are slightly flexed and directed forward, as if holding an object with the hands, which have perforations that may have served this purpose. Effigy Vessel

Teotihuacan style incense burner  from the Pacific Coast of Guatemala. It features a bell-shaped lid with lateral handles, decorated with a human face framed within a circular medallion. It supports a reliquary figure (also called “guest” or “host”), representing an elderly man wearing a rounded headdress and skirt, with large Spondylus ear ornaments. The figure holds a severed trophy head, and on the chest a small opening with removable cover reveals the face of another individual wearing a decorated headdress. The base, is biconical and decorated with triangles forming a bow-tie motif.

Whistle Figurine (Warrior)

Artist: Günter Grass (1927–2015)
Location: Papendiek / SUB, entrance to Paulinerkirche
Object: Bronze cast, 1982


The sculpture is approximately 2.30 meters tall. It was created from a 1982 clay model by Günter Grass and installed for the 2004 exhibition Günter Grass: Bronzes – Terracottas – Works on Paper in the Paulinerkirche.
In Grass’s body of work, the flounder (here referring to the halibut) symbolizes life experience and wisdom. A similar but smaller version, the “Bücher-Butt” (“Book Flounder”), served as the trophy for the Deutscher Bücherpreis (German Books Prize), a short-lived award presented in connection with the Leipzig Book Fair.
The complete works of the Nobel Laureate in Literature and recipient of the Samuel Bogumil Linde Prize of the twin cities Göttingen and Toruń are published by Steidl Verlag, Göttingen.

Vase for drinking cacao. Two characters, identified as the Hero Twins, hold a bundle possibly containing ritual paraphernalia such as a feather headdress and a mask or trophy head as part of a ritual attire. One of them, identified as Jun Ahaw, is distinguished by the marks on his shoulders and holds the objects in an offering position. The other character, who could be Yax Balam, holds what might be a waterlily. Both wear feather headdresses with a waterlily flower. The text indicates that it is a vessel for drinking cacao, probably a "frothy" drink. Due to its characteristics, this vessel could have been made in a pottery workshop along the San Pedro Mártir River or further south, and dedicated to a noble or a namesake of the last ruler of Dos Pilas.

Kakaw Drinking Vase with Hero Twins

For my UCL Trophy model hitting 1K views here on Sketchfab, I wanted to pay an homage to my original poorly made, high in tris Mentos model I made roughly 4 years and 3 months ago! This model features an animation of the opening and closing of the cap along with a Mentos gum.
