*Wiwaxia* had a tiny body covered in overlapping defensive **sclerites**. The hidden, lower surface consisted of a muscular foot and mouthparts for scraping food, like algae, off the sea floor. Wiwixia would have crawled slowly over the sea floor in search of food, as many similar molluscs do today.

<i>Vetulicola</i> had a large **body** with triangular **pouches** on either side and a segmented **tail** for swimming. The pouches may be gill slits opening into an internal body chamber, as found in modern tunicates, such as sea squirts and salps. It is thought that <i>Vetulicola</i> fed by drawing water in through the wide frontal opening to internally filter microscopic food particles suspended in water, with waste water expelled through the side pouches.

Yunnan Province, China, ~518 million years old.

*Cotyledion* lived on the sea floor, using **tentacles** to feed on particles suspended in the water. Some individuals have been found attached to small fragment of trilobites. The overall body shape, presence of tentacles surrounding the mouth and U-shaped gut, are characters that unite *Cotyledion* with entoprocts – a modern group of animals that measure less than a centimetre across.

Twelfth-century Water-Moon Guanyin (Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva in the Water-Moon Form), now in the collection of the Minneapolis Institute of Art.

“This form of the bodhisattva presides over his own paradise, Potolaka, which is described in scripture as a rugged seaside cave from which Avalokiteshvara could admire the reflection of the moon in the water. Appropriately, he appears meditative and relaxed and is seated informally in the “royal-ease” posture...Believers might look to a sculpture like this as a guide for their own journeys toward enlightenment.”

A 3D model inspired by the The Vast Land / [A Thousand Li of Rivers and Mountains](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wang_Ximeng),  by Wang ximeng, a painter of the Norther Song dynasnty, China. Painted in 1113, Wang Ximeng was only 18 years old when he painted the master piece. To the disappointment of everyone, including the artist Emperor Huizong, who personally taught him, Wang Ximeng died shortly after, depriving us of any further masterpieces. The painting is now in Palace Musuem Beijin, and was influiential for many generations to come!

Made in Houdini and textured in Blender.

Standing at 2,073 feet tall (632 meters) and consists of 128 floors, a few meters below Burj Khalifa's highest occupied floor. One of the largest sauropod dinosaurs found in China, its fossil was found at the crossing of MaMingXi in Yibin City. It is identified as sauropod subfamily. The total length of this genus is about 22 meters and the body height is nearly 7 meters. Its neck is very long, equivalent to half of its body length. It not only forms the length of each cervical vertebrae, but also has 19 cervical vertebrae, which is the most common species of sauropods. In addition, the neck is the longest of all dinosaurs (up to 12.1 meters). Compared with the cervical spine, the dorsal, sacral and caudal vertebrae are relatively less.
