Urban heat, pollution, noise, overcrowding are the plight of high density cities. Yet, density in metropolitan areas is also a solution to reduce urban footprint and mobility. High quality public space could make high-density cities a garden of paradise for human and non-human life. This manipulated point cloud model is an absurd, yet tempting reimagination of the streets around Niemeyer's Edifício Copan in Sao Paulo. Instead of busy road traffic, the buildings are immersed in an utopian urban park. In the face of increasing environmental pressures, this type of urban acclimatization landscape is set to become an imperative to ensure urban resilience.

The raw elevation data I used for the [Geological map of Mt. Etna](https://skfb.ly/6M6oK), from a [2005 Lidar Survey](https://figshare.com/articles/Mt_Etna_volcano_high-resolution_topography_airborne_LiDAR_modelling_validated_by_GPS_data/4818394) by Bisson et al. You'll find the original data on the publication's page.

This point cloud was simply cleaned up in Python and "augmented" with some ambient occlusion in CloudCompare in order to ease the reading when compared to a plain color one.

Mt. Etna - Lidar survey

The Boeing F/A-18E and F/A-18F Super Hornet are a series of American supersonic twin-engine, carrier-capable, multirole fighter aircraft derived from the McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet, in service with the armed forces of the U.S., Australia, and Kuwait. The F/A-18E single-seat and F/A-18F tandem-seat variants are larger and more advanced versions of the F/A-18C and D Hornet, respectively.

A strike fighter capable of air-to-air and air-to-ground/surface missions, the Super Hornet has an internal 20mm M61A2 rotary cannon and can carry air-to-air missiles, air-to-surface missiles, and a variety of other weapons. Additional fuel can be carried in up to five external fuel tanks and the aircraft can be configured as an airborne tanker by adding an external air-to-air refueling system. Although officially named "Super Hornet", it is commonly referred to as "Rhino" within the U.S. Navy.
