Here's a visualization of 688 exoplanets from [NASA's exoplanet catalog](https://go.nasa.gov/2y0sll0) (which contains 4152 exoplanets as of April 28th, 2020), done with Python and Blender.

**Disclaimer:** I filtered the exoplanets according to parameters of interest ("only" kept 688), and spent some time recomputing parameters (such as surface gravity or temperature) while re-learning some "basic" black-body radiation and orbital mechanics equations, before mapping the resulting parameters to positions and textures in Blender. The values in this visualization are therefore approximations (and should not be used for interstellar navigation &#128517;).

Exoplanets

The 3D model presents a historical mannequin (a dress form) dating to 1900s. The virtual mannequin was generated automatically by using a new method of parametric modelling (for further details see https://doi.org/10.1108/IJCST-06-2019-0093). The values of body measurements were taken from a sizing table. The measurements are: bust – 81.4 cm; waist – 51.4 cm; hip – 92.4 cm. Tribute to Chuck Norris

This project presents a custom designer chessboard featuring a deep mahogany-red wood finish, golden engravings, and integrated color-matched drawers for piece storage. The chess pieces are split into two distinct sets inspired by lapis lazuli and ruby/marble-red stone.

Each set uses its own 2K PBR material, while the chessboard is textured with a dedicated 4K PBR material. The pieces are primarily instanced from a single classic base set (king, queen, rook, bishop, knight, and pawn).
Total triangle count: ~37.5k.

The main focus was precise UV layout, particularly for correct wood grain direction, and fine-tuning metalness and roughness values to achieve visually striking, high-quality renders. While not a strict 1:1 replica, the project was guided by real-world references. The chessboard and drawer dimensions were established first and used as the foundation for modeling and scaling the remaining elements.

Intended to be used as a modelling reference, scanned from video and scaled/aligned to real life size. Not sure the scaling is spot on as I couldn't find reliable dimension values nor know what exact spec this is but hopefully its close enough.

Not perfect as it's scanned from visual data but should be proportionally correct enough to make a good base for modelling.

Originally scanned to be a modelling reference for me and Spiicy's BeamNG traffic mod projects, realistically I'm never going to get round to modelling most of the cars I have though. If you do end up modelling one from this scan then model contributions for the mod are greatly appreciated :)

The model is made with the scanner PlantEye. [PlantEye](https://phenospex.com/products/plant-phenotyping/planteye-f500-multispectral-3d-laser-scanner) is developed to measure plants in all lighting and environmental conditions. It scans in labs or entire fields and uses the 3D model to calculate plant parameters like height, growth, biomass.  It simultainiously scans the plant in RGB and near infrared wavelengths to measure plant coloring and plant health.

The Star Prison (Basemesh&Greebles)

Shamseh Glome v4 is a 4D-informed graph object generated through the PAPP protocol. 

The model preserves the original Shamseh V4 structure of 24 constant-colatitude shells, Fibonacci / golden-angle point placement, spiral intra-shell connections, and nearest-shell 4D flux edges, replacing the previous linear radial law with a true S³ latitude law.

The exported geometry is the orthographic xyz projection of the glome, where each shell radius follows r_xyz = R sin(θ) and the hidden fourth coordinate follows w = R cos(θ). 

Symmetric shells above and below the equator therefore share the same projected xyz radius while carrying opposite w values, encoded in vertex color. 

The shell populations follow a sin²(θ) distribution, consistent with the exact latitude weighting on S³ (R² = 0.999992).

The result is a discretized 3D graph representation of genuine glome latitude structure — not a conventional 3D sphere — with 110,480 vertices, 728,359 edges, and the hidden 4th dimension explicitly preserved and visible.
