Once the home of [Walther](https://goo.gl/79nUeT) and [Wilhelmina von Hallwyl](https://goo.gl/Y8iiJs).

The Vestibule was the main entrance where both the Hallwyls and their guests entered the house. When you walk up the stairs you will see portraits of mainly Walther von Hallwyl´s ancestors. 

The portraits here date from the 16th to the 19th century. Walther and Wilhelmina inherited the portraits along with the family's main seat, the medieval castle [Schloss Hallwil](https://goo.gl/dsWmoe) in Switzerland. 

As they wanted to leave the castle with all its furnishings intact the ancestral portraits were copied by the artist [Julius Kronberg](https://goo.gl/PS1hEg). The originals were sent back to Switzerland when the Stockholm house was bequeathed to the Swedish state.

The Upper Vestibule

Chess is a two-player strategy board game played on a chessboard, a checkered gameboard with 64 squares arranged in an 8×8 grid.[1] The game is played by millions of people worldwide. Chess is believed to have originated in India sometime before the 7th century. The game was derived from the Indian game chaturanga, which is also the likely ancestor of the Eastern strategy games xiangqi, janggi, and shogi. Chess reached Europe by the 9th century, due to the Umayyad conquest of Hispania. The pieces assumed their current powers in Spain in the late 15th century; the rules were standardized in the 19th century.

This ancestor was a great migrator. Some populations migrated to Europe, where they gave Homo neanderthalis; while those who remained in Africa have evolved into Modern Men (Homo sapiens). This period delivered wooden hunting weapons that were machined with good sharp stone tools. This implies a society that begins to structure itself to make the tools, the weapons, to process the slaughtered animals.

Venus of Willendorf

The dog is a domesticated carnivoran of the family *Canidae*. It is part of the wolf-like canids and is the most widely abundant terrestrial carnivore.The dog and the extant gray wolf are sister taxa as modern wolves are not closely related to the wolves that were first domesticated, which implies that the direct ancestor of the dog is extinct. The dog was the first species to be domesticated, and has been selectively bred over millennia for various behaviors, sensory capabilities and physical attributes.

Over 5 years ago I've uploaded a model of an arrow. It was a pretty bad arrow but somehow it scored 2.5k downloads.

Today, during my slumber, one of my Lusatian ancestors haunted my dream.

Low-Poly Arrow v2.0

This is for the MasterpieceVR “Imagine And Create A Sustainable Future” competition.
This habitat is a Volaspire. It has four flying transportation pods capable of independent flight to transport small groups to the main tower. Once attached to the main tower the flight pods become propellers and the whole tower is capable of transporting over 200 passengers. The flying pods are ai controlled and have near perfect balance during flight.  When not in flight the propellers of each pod turn into large solar energy collectors and help charge the main tower. The main tower is equipped with wind turbines and solar cells. The docking station has over an acre of green space for growing food for passengers and creating organic material for four large scale 3d printers. The printers can run continuously to print new parts or replacement parts from 100% organic material grown on site. The Volaspire is an ancestor of the [geistspire](https://skfb.ly/6yEJX) of the kingdom biotronican.

The Gascony blue has as its ancestor the rock pigeon , but it is very close in its plumage and its conformation to the woodpigeon and even more to the stock dove .

The cranium was the smallest and most primitive Hominin skull ever discovered outside of Africa. In Africa, the Australopithecines and early Homo represent two distinctive evolutionary paths sharing a common ancestor. In Georgia the specimens, with a brain half the size of anatomically modern humans, were the smallest found at around 600 cm³ brain volume. The lenght is about 25 cm.

Homo erectus georgicus

The horn of Salt Diggers Brotherhood of Wieliczka is a unique Renaissance work of art commemorating the past wealth of Kraków salt mines. It is the only historical object of its kind preserved in Poland – a genuine horn of the aurochs, an ancestor of present-day cattle (the species became extinct in Poland in the 17th century). Framed in silver, it features a number of precisely executed metalwork techniques. Weighing almost 3 kilos, it was created in Kraków in 1534. The figure shown in the horn’s base is a salt miner, depicted as Hercules wearing antique armour. This representation symbolically emphasises the hard work of the Wieliczka salt diggers, excavating the precious mineral for hundreds of years.

Heracles , born Alcaeus or Alcides, was a divine hero in Greek mythology, the son of Zeus and Alcmene, foster son of Amphitryon and great-grandson and half-brother (as they are both sired by the god Zeus) of Perseus. He was the greatest of the Greek heroes, a paragon of masculinity, the ancestor of royal clans who claimed to be Heracleidae. In Rome and the modern West, he is known as Hercules. Many popular stories were told of his life, the most famous being The Twelve Labours of Heracles.

It is a model of a small copy that I found on a tourist market in Bejing

Ding were prehistoric and ancient Chinese cauldrons, standing upon legs with a lid and two facing handles. They are one of the most important shapes used in Chinese ritual bronzes. They were made in two shapes: round vessels with three legs and rectangular ones with four, the latter often called fanding. They were used for cooking, storage, and ritual offerings to the gods or to ancestors.

The monastry Flor da Rosa is a fortified castle build in 1356 by the Prior of the knight order of hospitallers, Alvaro Goncalves Pereira. The site is the supposed birth place of Nuno Alvares Pereira, saint constable of Portugal, an important figure in portugese history and an ancestor of the House of Braganza. The building also houses the tomb of Alvaro Pereira. 

Since the 1940s the site has been converted to a Pousadas, as a chain of luxury hotels located in historical buildings.

What happens if you take a scifi scene and set it in another time? Does its essence change? I believe it doesn’t. Whenever or wherever humans exist, their joy and their struggle is the same. Their actions are universal, their words speak to all ages and times. And so I’ve worked to bring this belief to life, creating what I imagined to be the shop of the ancestor of the original splash’ main character. I have set the scene in an era roughly based on Greco-Roman culture.

I have used the following assets from Alex Treviño's splash, licensed under CC-BY: the girl's body mesh; her iris texture; the closet mesh. Every other asset has been created by me.

Sculpture “Introscope” is a temporary, freestanding mixed-media installation sculpture that engages Civic Center Plaza as a site of civic memory, visibility, and shared presence and essence. The work centers on an original hand-built clay sculptural face, sanke neck, heart and humming bird pieces referencing Xochipilli’s myth, his relationship with the feathered serpent Quetzalcoatl, and ancestors knowledge cult, Gamigin, on the back side, in its horse form, on display in the back, signaling the importance of finding equilibrium by being aware of all aspects of our psyche and collectives.

Together, these views invite reflection on how public identity and internal experience coexist within civic life. Reflecting on the relevance of a healthy ego, and as an introduction to the individual, local or stranger, to our plural society, in which we welcome, respect and praise, moreover, actively practice, and venerate originality, peculiarity, presence, and purpose.

It declined due to overhunting, habitat loss, and competition with domesticated livestock, eventually becoming extinct in 1627 when the last known individual died in Poland. Its roots lie in Indigenous rituals that honored ancestors with offerings, flowers, and food, later merging with Catholic traditions brought during colonization. Today, families build ofrendas, light candles, and decorate graves with marigolds to welcome the spirits home. At the center of its modern imagery stands La Catrina, inspired by José Guadalupe Posada’s early 20th‑century engraving of an elegant female skeleton. Originally a satire of upper‑class Mexicans who imitated European fashion, she evolved into a national symbol of identity and mortality. La Catrina reminds celebrants that death is universal, and that it can be faced with dignity, humor, and unmistakable style.
